This is a dive. Just keep driving unless you are thirsty and you need a beverage immediately. You can keep driving and go down to Aunt Sue's.

We have some pretty "basic" restaurants in the rural south. This is a mixture of a restaurant and store. It was so hot in there the candy bars were literally melting on the shelves. After looking at the place and walking around a bit, I decided not to eat there. I bought a cool, not cold, Pepsi from an antique... More

This is truly an old time country store, but their snack bar has great burgers and fries. The menu is limited but their burgers and hot dogs are pure southern style. You must have the chili on your burgers and hotdogs. It is great.

The best burger you will ever eat in Pickens County. Harry buys fresh meat everyday to produce the best burgers. The plate will be full for a good price.

Needed a place near Table Rock St. Park for an occasional meal out. Well, there sure aren't many. We tried this place because I always prefer local eateries over chain establishments, plus it was recommended by a park employee as always looking crowded at meal time -- good sign. The breakfast was great with nice-sized servings, & our waiter was... More

Perfect lunch spot on the way to the mountains. Just breakfast and lunch but delicious and reasonable. Sit at the counter and chat with the nice family that runs the place.

I am pretty stingy when it comes to giving out "fives" on Trip Advisor, otherwise Pumpkintown General Store would have gotten one. Super friendly staff and customers and one great breakfast. My 20 year old son, he of eyes bigger than his stomach, almost did himself in by ordering two of their humongous pancakes with an order of grits on... More

This store has a little bit of everything, if you are looking for something in the past. This store was like an oasis for us country boys, long summers and the smell of fresh plowed soul. This store is the hart of Pumpkin Town and has been the cross roads for refreshment and snacks. When you enter this store be... More

It's a funky little place, but the folks are nice and the food is good. I'm told the country ham is the best, but I really liked the cheeseburger! I've eaten here several times and will plan to stop again to catch a meal and look through the little antiques.
