We are here in December 2016 to some of the best BBQ we ever had. This February was not quite the same experience. Lexi, the waitress, is very good. I'd take her recommendation any day. We had the ribs but they were clearly overlooked and very dry. The wings are excellent. Good size, well cooked and well flavored. The hush... More

Best BBQ sandwich! The smoked wings are absolutely delicious too! They have Coke & Pepsi products 💖 and we had outstanding service from our waitress Lexi!

I love this location. The one in Cherry Grove is amazing compared to the old location they recently closed down in Windy Hill. The owner is never far and the food is delicious. Service is top notch too. The ribs and the wings are my favorite but don't ignore the BBQ either. Lexi was interactive and made the food taste... More

I tried the pulled pork since their sign states,"Best BUTTS on the Beach". Not really impressed with the flavor. I tried all the sauces on the table. I really was not impressed when the staff stated the tomato based BBQ Sauce was a commercial brand and they just poured it in the bottle. Not authentic sauces made there. The service... More

Great price to feed 4. Good food. Great take out place for pork. Get family meal rolls are 25 cents which is kind of weird. They should be included.

My family recently visited old south BBQ. The smell outside is intoxicating, they smoke the ribs wings and butts in a smokehouse right outside the restaurant. I got the wings they have a choice of sauces but "naked" was recommended, I was not disappointed so juicy and delicious. My husband had the ribs, the ribs were huge and so flavorful.... More

Over cooked, and old rib plate. Part of the the meat hard. Very fatty and horrible taste. The corn on the cobb was way overcooked. The cold slaw was horrible and tasteless. Guess we did not like it.

Being "locals" my wife and I, along with friends enjoy trying out various restaurants in the area. Based on the very positive reviews we read on Trip Advisor, we all decided it was time to try Old South BBQ on Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach (one of their two locations). We should have known right off there was something... More

We enjoyed our lunch. The food was great, but the service was better. Our waitress Lexi was so friendly and attentive. The BBQ sauces were also very good (the mustard was the best!). We even bought some sauce to take home.

The meat had a smokiness that was so good that you do not even need to choose from the 5 different sauces that are prepared by had with the southern BBQ label. French fries reminded me of the five guy french fries...hand cut.....the hush puppies were sweet and definitely southern
