While the food is usually adequate (sometimes good), and the market is a good place to find most things Indian, the service, manners and simple kindness to customers are poor to terrible. We (2) were there for dinner a month ago, and we were virtually...ignored for 20 minutes, when we finally ordered - before receiving water, much rather our drinks - we waited until we had been there for over an hour. At that time, my companion was very tired, and we switched to having our food "take out." I admit, I was very ticked off by that time, and when we paid the bill, I was outrageously overcharged. I will NEVER go back - ever. TERRIBLE SERVICE and RUDE!!!!More

Stupid, stupid good food. Great portions (maybe too much) and the garlic naan is excellent. Low frills restaurant worth the trip from wherever you are. Chicken Saag is a standout!

This place has a buffet which I decided to try. They brought out some bread which was still doughy. The food was not fresh and the staff was rude. I will try some place else.

In town for a few days for a convention. A friend asked if I was up for an adventure Indian food! My answer was a simple three letter response YES! One small problem. The lamb curry caught my mouth on fire. If you like spicy...it’s for you. Add the green sauce to really light up your tongue. Delicious Garlic Naan will put out the fire in the best way. Vegetable Samosa with ginger sauce tangy aromatic first course - must try. Love the curry chicken, hearty portions. Downside, zero ambience. Upside - Excellent value.More

Went for the lunchtime buffet. No waiting, excellent and tasty food. Tandoori chicken legs and breads out of this world. What a great find and at a great price too - highly recommended.

This restaurant has good potential to be one of great places around Charleston, but not sure if they need new chef or management, Some times the food is extraordinarily great and sometimes you think what happened today was the chef in a bad mood. Make...sure you try the food when the chef is at his best, hard to know as you would be throwing in the dark.More

We had takeaway of various meals, and both the tikka masala and channa masala were delicious. I would highly recommend.

Not the most elegant restaurant and in need of some cosmetic improvements, Bombay delivered very fine food, even though my wife and I waited almost an hour for our main course to be served. The lamb saag and naan bread that we had made our...wait worthwhile, with good pieces of lamb and spiced just as we had ordered. We will be back when we are not pressed for time.More

I have only ever ordered carryout, but have yet to be disappointed. Have ordered the vindaloo, tikka masala, the madras, multiple types of the naan and paratha, and appetizers. The portions are large. I've had one occasion where the tikka masala was a bit greasy...but that was the exception to the rule. If you like to have heat/spice you'll need to let them know as they seem to default to mild. The store is awesome. Well worth a walk through. Great products to make your own indian dishes at home!More
