Just incredible! We have been to many notable restaurants in Charleson (Such as Hall's, Oak, Hanks, Magnolias, etc), but this place is by far our favorite. The food is never less than spectacular and their hospitality beats all. The owner is such a gentleman. We love speaking with him each time we are there. In addition, his wait staff are... More
Had another great brunch at the Fat Hen today! Our server, Nicky, was friendly and efficient, as usual. The great food, good service and fun atmosphere are the reasons we return to the Fat Hen time and time again! Thanks for the good times! Maggie

The menu is complete and French. Hard to choose over all the appropriate garlic and sauce laden drool provoking choices. Although the bill at the end will make you weep, so will the succulent bites until then! Perfect location for a special occasion. Tucked away in an old house among 100 year old oak trees. Romance is in the air.... More

I loved everything about The Fat Hen. It's a little outside of the city, but easy to get to by car. It's casual and quirky, with a totally fun drink menu. Our meals were excellent, as was the service. Our server, Nicky, was warm, friendly and efficient, and was knowledgeable and helpful in helping me put together a gluten-free meal... More

While my lady and I were vacationing near Charleston we were treated to dinner at the Fat Hen. This restaurant is way off the beaten track, but as we learned, it has definitely earned its place on the map. On arriving at Fat Hen on a weekday evening we were seated immediately (and we didn't have reservations). We were lucky... More
