We love going to Fat Hen for Brunch! Although we prefer a Brunch buffet, Fat Hen has an interesting variety of items on their menu. The food is always good & they offer a carafe of Mimosas for $12!

A very good (local) location. Every detail attended too. A vast array of drink specials, menus items to ensure every pallet is satisfied and extra helpful service all combine for an exceptional dinner. The food is “creatively” prepared and extensive in selection. Call for reservations,...More

We went on Easter Sunday for brunch. Not an all you can eat for one price but menu items ala carte. Do not miss the fried green tomatoes and collard greens, best I’ve had. The crab soup was creamy and the shrimp and grits done...More

Only reservations we could get was after 8, but even so, the place was full and very busy. Opened with their charcuterie, all locally sourced and almost a meal for two. Entrees were mussels in aioli sauce that obliged the diner to use half a...More

Chef Fred Neuville is excited to embark on his first solo venture. "With Fat Hen, I am striving to create a neighborhood restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and signature French-inspired Southern cuisine," he says. "Johns Island is a fast-growing area and I believe island residents - along with others from around Charleston - will appreciate what we have to offer." Fat Hen's main dishes center around innovative French classics with Low country flourishes, sourced from the finest local produce farmers. The Braised Chicken features locally raised free-range chicken braised in red wine with rich bacon lardons, root vegetables & mushrooms. Fat Hen's Short Rib, a favorite signature dish among family and friends, is braised for hours in a rich veal broth.
