We ate dinners inside on the second level. The scene is energetic, not too loud so you can have a conversation. Enjoyed the She Crab Soup and Fried Chicken entree. My wife enjoyed the Braised Short Rib. Thoroughly stuffed but had to order the White...More

just not happy with the food, Soby's is not as good as it was, the only reason I gave it a three is the service and our waiter was great.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Decor to match. This is just the beginning of a wonderful dining experience. Food is sophisticated, but familiar in the best tradition of Southern cooking. Definitely worth a detour to Greenville for the experience.

Sunday Brunch is exceptional. Make reservations early because this is not a well-kept secret. Dinner is great as well. Just cannot beat the Brunch.

My daughter is getting married October 21 of this year. I am looking for a place to have drinks and light snacks for our out of town guest after the rehearsal dinner on the 20 th. It is a large crowd of maybe 100 people. Not sure if you could accommodate us!

Description
Soby's New South Cuisine is a blend of contemporary cuisine infused with traditional southern ingredients. The restaurant opened in 1997 and is housed in the warm environment of a renovated, century-old building and has a mezzanine level that can accommodate large parties ordering a la carte. Starting with fresh, seasonal ingredients, our chefs transform Southern favorites into something comfortable and fresh. The wine list is a consistent winner of Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast awards. Signature dishes include Barbecue Shrimp and Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes with Jalapeno Pimento Cheese, and Crab Cakes Remoulade.
