We have seldom been so disappointed. After being incredibly excited to try this place we left without even eating. As soon as we walked in the door, a server was just on the other side of a wall complaining "Where are all these people coming from? UGH!" (it was a Friday night at 7:30- prime time dining out), there were... More

My two sons and their families joined me for a scrumptious meal at the Schwaben House during the holidays. The beautiful decorations were only surpassed by the superb meal. We all ordered different entrees and everyone raved about their choice. This restaurant is a treat not to be missed!

We went to Schwaben House the other evening and really enjoyed our evening. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and was very attentive. The complimentary little seafood salad bite before our meal was a nice touch. We both had the weiner schnitzel and it was perfectly... More

Great service, fabulous beer,Paulaner (Octoberfest).I had Jaegerschnitzel with homade spaetzle. and a very authentic mixed salad. my child bride enjoyed the pork cordon bleu.I was in heaven. I have eaten at the Schwaben House six times over the past two years. It is always excellent in every way.....food quality, atmosphere, service and value. This is more than just a German restaurant as other items are on the menu. Two in our group had the salmon and the other beef filet medallions. Their soups are the best in... More

I will firstly state I am not familiar with German cuisine. This was my first experience with a restaurant that considers itself to represent refined German cuisine in the USA. I have eaten in Germany itself, but none of that would have been called "fine" dining. The Schwaben House is "fine" dining with a beautiful atmosphere and presentation, and very... More

I guess I'm used to larger portions at lesser prices. We ordered pork tenderloins and the meat didn't cover the buns. The sides were good but again, smaller portions. I felt it was fairly expensive given the amt. of food you get. The restaurant was fairly quiet but service average at best. It seemed we waited a long time for... More

My wife and I are always hunting for authentic German restaurants as we travel across the country. Good German restaurant are hard to find. This restaurant was SPECTACULAR, in every way. The waitress was very accommodating and the food was fantastic. I can't imagine ever getting tired of this place. We will be back.

Searching TripAdvisor while in Greenville for a business trip, I noticed that there was a German restaurant - my favorite. It is difficult to get authentic German because preparing this type of food takes time and many people don't like to wait. I ordered my favorite beer - Warsteiner Premium Verum. That's when I knew my waitress was from Germany... More

Once again we had a delightful evening at the Schwaben House even though Annette, the delightful owner/hostess/waitress was off for the evening. As always there was a nice selection of draft German beer, my Paulaner Lager was particularly delightful and paired beautifully with my Sausage Plate, a special of the evening. All three sausages were excellent and perfectly prepared and... More
