I and 4 of my girlfriends descended on Da Massimo on a Friday night. I had the veal with wine sauce and was so blown away! One had the chicken alfredo. I don't remember everybody's dishes. I do remember the Tiramu (I think that's the...More

What a great find in Florence, SC! Authentic Italian food all prepared by Chef Massimo, the friendly proprietor from Rome, Italy! Beautiful decor, clean, and located with plenty of parking in wonderfully revitalized area of old town Florence. Sara, our delightfully charming efficient waitress, patiently...More

I have been coming to Florence monthly on business for a decade now, however living in Chicago I have never been impressed with the dining selections. Da Massimo is one of a growing exceptions, where I found not only delicious food, but great service, despite...More

We, four adults and two kids, ate at DaMassimo's last night. It was a warm Saturday night, and they had about 30% of the tables with diners. So in other words, it was pretty dead as far as business goes. After being seated, we waited...More

I have read your recent review and I really do not agree with your statements. I waited on your table and I let you know before you sat down that we were short staffed. You came in at the same time as another 6 top...More

Traveling from Atlanta to Southport N.C. and after 5 hours decided to spend the night. Googled on Hotels (Hotel Florence is the best) and they recommended Da Massimo. One block walk from the hotel, got right in and from that moment on we were delighted...More

There were 5 of us last night for dinner. 3 hadn't been there before...it was their first but won't be their last! I'm not going to use the "official names" of the dishes because I know I would mess up the spelling. 1 had the...More

This time I tried a traditional lasagne and it literally melted in my mouth. I remembered the entrees were generous so I skipped the salad or an appetizer and still had trouble eating all the entree and savng room for dessert. My favorite dessert wasn't...More

Perfectly prepared and good enough to lick the plate! The ambiance is a little sparse but without the crowded feeling, you have a little more privacy. Has a nice courtyard out back as well and the game is always on at the bar.
