Having lived in Germany for four years I was skeptical at first. Julia's is not large but the setting is very authentic and the food is what I remember for the little "hole in the wall" place I visited in Bavaria. Nothing fancy here but great food and large portions in a little slice of Germany. The only drawback is... More

A party of ten, we were placed at a round table and a square table, not conducive to good conversation. Drink order was taken after seating for 10 min. Lemon ordered with tea and water, Came back in five minutes to take order, no lemon. 45 minutes before food was served got lemon. German Potato Salad ??. Was runny looked... More

After seeing on trip advise found it and at first thought twice about trying it because it is a hole in the wall. But the food was very good. Family run business and a I think the owner is also the cook. Serving are very large. Food cooked fresh while you are there.

We stopped here on our way home to Charlotte after a week at isle of palms. Didnt want to go to a chain or fast food, and found this on yelp.  Glad we did!  Julia and her grand daughter were very hospitable. the food was very good- though the spaetzle lacked flavor, in my opinion. They have recently expanded, so... More

Went to Julia's while visiting Columbia for a conference and to see family though I have been several times in the past. I love the food and the family run atmosphere... it is excellent German food... the best schnitzel you will find stateside, great desserts, good beer and huge portions. The menu is small but they do what they do... More

Ate here while visiting Columbia. The staff was friendly, food was good, and the portions were huge! They had freshly baked cakes that I was just too full to try. They do some seasonal things...no soups in the summer, and they had Oktoberfest beers on hand. Not impressive on the outside, but I was going for the food. Would recommend... More

The food is good. No question. But forget the rest. When you enter the restaurant, it is like going through a time machine back to the 60s. Or maybe the 50s,

I really, REALLY wanted to like this place. The staff was pretty nice, which is why I feel so guilty giving this bad review, but hey what can I say? The parking lot is completely busted-up, the outside of the building is absolutely horrendous and uninviting. This was only the beginning. The INSIDE of the place was probably the worst... More

After reading numerous reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to visit Julia's on our one night visit to Columbia. The food portions are very large and crusty rolls and a small house salad are included with every dinner. The kids had schnitzel fingers which are cut up pieces of pork breaded schnitzel style which they enjoyed. We also tried the jagerschnitzel... More
