My Bride and I were overnighting in Columbia on our way to Charleston. Looking for some good food. Longhorn was so busy there was no parking available and the throng at the door indicated a nice long wait. Headed across the highway and stumbled across the British Bulldog Pub. I love Pub food, authentic pub food. I started with a... More

Stopped in for some food with a British flavour and was not disappointed. This was a great find, tucked away in an unexpected location. The Service was excellent. Wait staff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Food was outstanding. I had my favorite, Cottage Pie. It was delicious and the serving size was more than adequate. The menu contained a great... Ordered Hamburger with goat cheese & compost (yummy!]. My friend had blackened chicken salad, also very good. Excellent service (Omar). Good pub. We had planned to eat at Wild Wings, but when we walked in we immediately noticed how dirty it was (8 unbussed tables.) I would go again.

Stopped in after a day of touring for some excellent fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage and cottage pie. Wonderful food and great drink/beer variety. Moderate cost and charming setting.

One should keep in mind that British cuisine is not held in the highest regard. That said, this is, sadly another case of "kids in the kitchen." The establishment is replete with staff that has not been properly trained. A shame. I ordered a Ruben sandwich. It arrived and I could see it was adequately constructed with good ingredients. Upon... More

Visited on Monday December. 26: soccer games and fans with heated enthusiasm in every book and cranny! Ordered the Fish and Chips and Reuben to share. The fish was amazing-perfectly cooked. I think the Reuben waited for a while while the fish was being cooked because the bottom bread was soggy. The fries were a little mushed and undercooked. The... More

Quintessential British Pub. Fish and chip/ pasties and loaded chips, all good but just average. A bit disappointed with the fish and chips but their twist was good but again just average. Pastie was good. And a good portion.
