I called earlier in the evening and a young lady by the name of Despi helped us out. She was so helpful with all of our questions. When we got there we were quickly seated thanks to her. Chris was our server and he was excellent! The man knew what was up! They ran out of the mixed grilled, but... More

Had dinner at Oak Steakhouse in Charleston for the first time.....it will not be our last! We were warmly greeted upon arrival by the hostess. Our server Chris B. was excellent. He was very knowledgeable in wine and food. He recommended an outstanding bottle of Pinot Noir, probably one of the best we've had. He also made wonderful recommendations for... More

Oak remains the best steak house in Charleston. My husband is a steak snob :) and he raves about Oak. He had the dry aged ribeye and I had the filet and they both were superb , cooked perfectly with amazing depths of flavor. And don't miss the brussel sprouts! Everyone does brussel sprouts these days but these are over... More

Just went to Oak for the first time and fell in love. My friend and I were seated on the third floor and had a room pretty much to ourselves the whole meal. It was Charleston Restaurant Week and we both ordered the 3-course tasting menu. The parsnip soup was such a delight - beautiful blend of parsnip and cream.... More

We went on a Friday night and were lucky to get free parking off of Broad St. Valet is available. The first floor is a bar setting and the second and third floor are dedicated to dining. They have an excellent wine selection for all budgets. The bread was surprisingly delicious and was served with a homemade cheese. We went... More

This was one of the best meals we have ever had. My husband and I were in town for the NYE weekend. The ambiance is quaint and the service is superb. Josh was our waiter and he throughly went over the menu and offered suggestions. I had a filet and my husband had the ribeye. It paired perfectly with the... More

Lovely time for an Anniversary fine dining. Difficult driving in Charleston required a stiff Martini then to our table. Greeted by name and great service from Oliver and Victoria. Top strip out of supply but compromise with small, yet tasty rib without bone. Good value and started with Signature Oysters Rockefeller that are out of this world. Strong Sav. Blanc... More

We loved this restaurant. Everything we ordered was outstanding and delicious. They gave us beef carpaccio on the house and it was the best I've ever eaten (beating those from France and NY). Try their corn bread. The steak was better than any steakhouse in NY. They also had a great wine list. The service is impeccable and friendly without... More

Great steak, crab and oysters. Best thing was that they moved us from mezzanine to top floor when we asked. You should ask for top floor when you make reservations--it is a spectacular space . Free complimentary valet parking is nice given that street spots can be scarce.

I loved my dinner tonight at Oak! I love my 8 Oz Filet Mignon and my Foie Gras appetizer ! The side dish of lobster mac and cheese was great! The service was good along with the Cabernet Sauvignon red wine!
