We reserved a table for 10 people and it was to be a Business introductions meal. The waiter was trying to get us to change our minds for every Entree we ordered. It is almost as he was trying to steer us to what the retairant wanted to sell instead of what we wanted to eat! The waiter mis-identified the... More

Read the reviews before visiting Charleston and made a reservation for our first night. What a great find!!! Such a fun, eclectic place. We had a great waiter and that really made the experience (wish we could remember his name, but he told us he went to Berklee College of Music for 2 weeks and now manages bands??) We started... We happened upon Burwells when looking for a decktop bar from which to see the sunset. The first floor restaurant décor was very upscale and looked very nice. The decktop bar is up some stairs and was small without any view. The bartender was friendly and so we stayed for a happy hour $5 wine by the glass which was... More

I'm into steak but that night after a lot of heavy eating in Charleston (easy to do with all the fabulous restaurants), I was tired of huge cuts of meat. I tried the ragu and that was the best, best, best I've had in a long time, even outshining several Italian restaurants. It's not something you expect from a restaurant... More

Great concept, but the food is overpriced, and the entree steaks were raw. We ordered the appetizer steak to cook on the stones, and that was fun, kids loved it. However, we also order the entree Wagyu steak, medium rare, and it came out basically raw with singed edges. We had to then use the hot plate from the kids... More

Dined here with my wife, son and his significant other. Had a very nice time, service was ok, not stellar, a couple of glitches, got ignored for a bit. My son's s/o ordered, at our waiter's recommendation, she wanted a prime filet, a wagu skirt streak and frankly it was chewy and certainly not the same as the wagu skirt... More

Enjoyed meals at many restaurants in Charleston during a quick getaway to celebrate our Anniversary, but Burwell's Stone Fire Grill was a definite hit! Most of the restaurants we tried are ranked higher on Trip Advisor, so I'm hoping my review will help others try out Burwell's and get it moved up the list! Started with the Wagyu beef hot... More

We visited the Charleston area during the 1st week of December. After enjoying the seafood for a few days, our mouths were watering for a nice steak and this place delivered. We had heard of Hall's Chophouse but so glad we came here. We started with the very tasty Blueberry Mint Smash cocktail. We then ordered the House Cut Prime... More

A local told us about Happy Hour at this great little hidden place. We sat at the bar. The food was fantastic! The Moscow Mules were oh so good and the bartender, JJ, was as friendly as they come. Recommend for a great experience.

Beautiful restaurant in heart on Charleston. Our server Chandler was excellent. She made great recommendations and was very responsive even though she had many other large parties. My husband and I never felt rushed. The Caesar salad is very good. It's large enough to share and a nice compliment to the main course. We shared the 12 oz ny strip... More

Burwell's, a pioneer of the Modern Steakhouse, unites with specific farms and ranches, most recently forging a powerful relationship with Snake River Farms for its exotic cuts, butcher selects, and above prime grades. The Award-Winning, casual steakhouse serves local, seasonal ingredients and its nose-to-tail efforts made famous by the "Hot Rock" program have caused quite a stir. Toss in the local seafood and vegetables and you'll find out why they've been the best kept secret in Charleston. Indoor - Outdoor Dining. "There is no other steak like it!"
