I met a friend here for lunch. We each ordered off of the specials board and sat outside to eat. The weather was wonderful and the tables have umbrellas. The tuna salad was served over the greens. My friend really enjoyed it. I got the sliders which had melted cheese and basil on them. I ordered them without the tomatoes... More

Perchance I was in Charleston and asked someone for a restaurant recommenda-tion...they enthusiastically answered "The Three Birds." Snuggled in a little shopping center, I found a small, busy and somewhat loud family restaurant with a wide choice of food choices. They serve breakfast (all day) and lunch at reasonable prices. Breakfast choices include a wide array of omelets; various scrambled... More

My friend and I came here for breakfast and loved the atmosphere. It's cozy feeling with fun decorations on the interior. All the staff were so friendly, saw lots of smiles and we felt well taken care of without things feeling intrusive or rushed. I ordered the peanut butter, banana, and honey stuffed french toast. My friend had the banana... More

This is a very small intimate place with art on the walls. It's a cool spot that came highly recommended. My husband and I went on an early Monday afternoon. There was a bit of a wait (about 30 minutes) and that's understandable being that the cafe is so small. When we were finally seated, our waitress wasn't too friendly... More

Three Little Birds (TLB) is a hole-in-the-wall breakfast place in the back of a shopping center on James Island, with lunch and breakfast all day. Dude, this is the breakfast place you remember from home. Food is ALL fresh and interesting, fun and good. Being honest, I cannot review the lunches, as I only eat breakfast when I go. And... More

Really wanted to like this place. Went twice with friends who recommended it. First time, my friend was so disappointed because she had suggested we go there. Service was slow, unfriendly, and when order was not correct…waitress could have cared less. Second time, went with another friend and I was hoping that the first time was a fluke. No luck…service... I met up my best friend at this cafe just a few days ago. I'm big on trying new places so when I saw how great their menu looked online and became extremely excited. They must have a big following because upon arrival their was a 40min wait. The waitress greeted us with a sincere smile. My bestfriend and I... More

quaint, quirky, small but good food. Breakfast was reasonably priced Service was good. Quite busy on Saturday mornings so plan ahead and be prepared to wait a bit but serviced pretty quick.

Cozy comfortable atmosphere and incredible breakfast choices! I had maple, granola pancakes. My husband had Nutella stuffed challah French toast one day and banana, honey, peanut butter stuffed challah French toast another. They also have interesting omelettes. A small off the beaten path restaurant you'll want to try. P.S. Breakfast is served until 3:00!

This was a great little "local" restaurant that took some searching to find. I found it in Chow Hound and after some serious searching we found it and we were very happy that we did! The food was excellent and and there were some very interesting offerings. My Grouper sandwich included several large pieces of bacon, in addition to the Grouper. My wife had a wonderful, but different, offering of Shrimp and Grits covered with chopped green and red peppers. You might want to include this place on your list for Charleston.
