DeWolf aggressively markets $1 oysters on Monday, served from opening until closing @ 10 PM. By late afternoon they told patrons they were out of oyster but had little necks at $2.50 each, above average price. Clearly, this was a bait and switch maneuver. I...live in Bristol and have been going her for 16 years. There were no apologies, no rain checks, no plausible explanation coming from a frazzled and visibly overworked staff. The owner is NOT inexperienced in the restaurant business. This was a sleazy way to get people in the door and stay. I left and will not return. There are plenty of reputable eateries in this beautiful town.More

Great atmosphere inside and on the waterside patio. Decent menu and prices, good food. There is a large event tent/venue next door that could detract from your meal enjoyment so check first.

My husband and I had our wedding dinner at DeWolf Tavern a few nights ago and it exceeded our expectations. Communication with the event planner was great, they were very accommodating of our guests’ allergies and preferences. We only had about 18 people total, but...the service was amazing. Servers were very attentive and helpful, didn’t rush us along, and the food was all delicious. Could not be happier with our experience. We chose the right venue for our wedding dinner, and plan to revisit for anniversaries. Thanks again!More

We had our engagement party at DeWolf Tavern and it truly made the day so special. The staff were all so helpful, kind, and made the process of getting set up very easy. The venue is beautiful with views of the water, a great back...porch, and a fun bar. All good things to say!More

Waited an hour or so for dinner which was very disappointing. The weight was very puzzling as they were few diners with us on a lovely June evening.

Unfortunately we had high hopes for breakfast! I had ordered the shakshuka breakfast with chicken, typically it’s made with a mildly warm tomato base rice, soft poached eggs and vegetables. When it arrived it was extremely dry, similar to Spanish rice with a hard baked...egg, it basically lacked taste and appeal. My husband’s meal was slightly better, however he ordered extra toast for an additional $4.00, he was given 1 piece of dry toast, no butter or preserves were offered. The mimosas were delicious. Better as a bar than a breakfast restaurant.More

We went there with another couple for dinner. All of us had different dishes and were disappointed. Everything was blah, beef was overcooked, and even the mashed potatoes and string beans had no taste to them. Stuffed lobster was the dried out and lacked flavor.

Our adult daughter made a brunch reservation for a family brunch at 11:00am on a Saturday. Upon being seated at the table, we were given only a breakfast menu. When I asked our server if we could order off of the full menu, she asked..."Do you know what time it is?" I stated yes but can we order off of the full menu. Our server then stated "No, the full menu starts at 12:30pm and told us we could wait in the bar until then." This was not an option as we had plans to be at another event at 1:30pm. We ordered our breakfast dishes and the food was good but small portions considering the price. While we were there another couple was seated, looked at the breakfast menu and then changed their minds and walked out. De Wolfe Tavern lost out in the end as we would have easily spent another $150.00 and most likely will not return. Four days ago the Dewolf Tavern website mentioned brunch and suddenly has now removed all reference to brunch. This is why our daughter made our reservation for Brunch. Suggest you clear state on your website when the full menu is and is not available, so you will not have disappointed customers!More

We have never considered our place for brunch. For over 5 years we have been doing breakfast from 8:00-12:30 and have offered lunch at 12:30. I'm sorry if there was some miss connection with that. As for the two guests who left, they wanted lunch,...More

Staying at Bristol Harbor Inn and was next door. We only had drinks and a Naan pizza. Perfect as a late night light dinner. Dave’s was bartender. Drinks were good. Perfect for a romantic end to the day! 💕

Disappointing experience—no soup even though it was on special, no Bombay yet 2 bottles at lower bar, no Campari, initially given bar seating when upstairs seating was requested.

Food was decent. Service was unbelievable. We went there as a family on a Saturday evening, 6:30pm reservation. We got our entrees at 8:45pm!!! The chef appeared to be out chit-chatting in the dining room most of the night, while guests sat with no food...and no water. We had a cocktail, finished an entire bottle of wine and still waited ages for our food. Staff was all very apologetic, but the restaurant is having massive management issues. Do NOT recommend :-(More

Love eating and drinking in an historical building! The cucumber basil martini was the perfect summer drink. We shared a smoked salmon naan pizza from their own tandori oven. YUM!

Terrible service, overpriced food and horrendous presentation of over priced food, (filet mignon served alone on a side dish size plate, same with salmon, swordfish dish reminded us of hospital food. Waitress (blonde girl with a pony tail), gave us very inattentive and inefficient service....Took a very long time taking our order, and when she returned with our food, 2 out of 4 of 5 our dishes were cold. WE also asked her to take a picture of us, she said she couldn't then and never came back to do it. We will not ever return and will share our experience with everyone we know.More
