About
Founded in 1954, Quito’s started as a local fish market. Later, a few tables were added and family recipes were relied on for the basic fare. As it’s popularity grew so did the dining room. Today, there is a cozy indoor dining area with a fireplace and during the warm months, the patio opens up to beautiful sunsets in Bristol harbor.

Food was not prepared well. Fish, scallops & shrimp were rubbery. Rhode Island chowder was good. Food took a long time to arrive. Waitress was really nice.

Fresh local seafood, located on the water for great views. Not fancy but great prices and generous portions. Popular with locals. Chowders were fantiastic.

We were looking for some new England sea food and Quitos was recommended, my wife and I stopped in for dinner , nice table with a view of the harbor. For starters, I ordered the bucket of steam clams...big mistake, 25 clams or so, with..."market price" of $33...Whew! The worse was yet to come. The waitress brings them to the table, the first 3-4 clams fill my mouth with....Sand!! I told my wife I don't believe the staff washed the clams before steaming them!! There was so much sand in these clams, it was collecting in the bottom of the serving dish! I showed this spectacle to the waitress, I asked her if I had to pay extra for all the sand in these steamers!?! Quitos gave me a whopping 5 bucks off a $91 dollar bill...wow, that's,s taking care of the customer! Do yourself a favor, save your money...and find another seafood restaurant!More

Three for lunch. Best thing about restaurant was view. Fried calamari was like cardboard with sauce. No taste. Lobster casserole was salty. Vegetables looked like they had died years ago. Seafood stew was meh.? Food was overpriced and not worth a visit. To those who...think this seafood was great I have two things to say: either you live away from the ocean or all the alcohol you consumed prior to food being served, numbed your taste buds. Tried this place for the first time yesterday 10/1/21. Our waiter was very personable but lacked any kind of memory for what we ordered. My better half had the whole belly clams and I ordered the seafood platter. We ordered calamari for an app along...with drinks. We never got the calamari and he brought out two orders of fried clams. We were in a bit of a time crunch so I just ate the clams and didn't bother to tell him about the app that never came. I had ordered a seafood casserole and a quart of red chowder to go for my dad, all we got was the casserole which apparently didn't get put into the kitchen until we were done with our meals. So we waited and watched the clock and waited some more. Also when I had ordered a second beer I had to wait until my dinner was done before it showed up. I think they are very short of qualified wait staff so if you go be cognizant of that.More

Though it was midweek in late June, we found this luncheon spot to be busy and parking difficult. My wife and I did not require luncheon menus as we had decided beforehand to order clam cakes and RI chowder. The chowder was barely acceptable while...the clam cakes proved to be a catastrophe. In the 6 clam cakes we shared only 2 pieces of clam were identified and the taste of clam was entirely lacking.More

Another great seafood dinner at Quito’s. Outside seating is great right on the water. A nice breeze. Plenty of parking. We started off with calamari and clam cakes., I had the whole belly clam roll. Great dinner.

Walked in at 4:30 to an empty covered outdoor area but told not a seat to be had, all reserved. Only inside available. Left at 5:15 still 8 empty tables outside. No water to drink ever offered Steamers were over cooked, neck should never break...when skinning a piss clam. Mashed potatoes and broccoli were nuked, potatoes cold, broccoli spotty, scallops (@35#,) had shell on them, great crunch...not! Key Lime Martini Cocktail did not mention having cream anywhere in description not what expected and no taste of lime existed.. High expectations, turned into collasall disappointment. View was terrific even from inside.More

At first we did not think much of this establishment until we actually tried the food which was very surprising. The portions were big and it was all well prepared and very tasty! Both the fried shrimp and the fried oyster plates were large and...quite delicious. The only negatives were the weak cocktails which were all mix and little to NO booze and the stuffed quahog seemed to be all stuffing and no actual seafood.More

My daughter and I had lunch on the deck, right on the water. They obviously know what they are doing and they have NE casual cuisine "down". Oysters were pristine and well-shucked. Steamers were sweet and cooked just right. Top notch fried clams and a...fine lobster roll. A Bloody Mary to start and ice cold draft beer capped the experience well.More

I've driven by this a million times but heard it is a local favorite. Easy to find, plenty of parking. This is right on the water. We went during the reopening phase of COVID-19. The place was abiding by the reopening rules which was good....The service was good, the food was good, the view was extraordinary. Overall it was a good experience.More
