Made reservations for a birthday dinner for two here and requested a nice table. We were seated at a small table right next to the noisy bar as well as the door so every time someone came/went we were greeted with a cold blast of air. Hubby never took his coat off.
Appetizers were ordered (Calamari) and something called Bad Broccoli. Both arrived and enough for a meal in themselves. The broccoli was excellent - battered and fried with an interesting dipping sauce. The calamari looked great but was so rubbery and chewy that it was difficult to get down. Which really didn't matter because halfway through our apps our main courses arrived and since we were at a tiny table, there was no room to set anything else down. So we asked our server to just box up the two apps while we worked on our main course.
Mine was an interesting choice - but only on paper. It was the mac/cheese stuffed meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Two huge hunks of very salty meat sitting in a pool of runny (almost soupy) mashed potatoes covered in brown gravy. The side vegetable was boiled broccoli in a cheese sauce. Honestly that broccoli was the best part of the plate. It reminded me of something my mother used to serve back in the 70s. The meatloaf was a bit dry and way too salty for me. I ate one hunk of meat, all of the broccoli, and asked to have the rest boxed.
Hubby ordered the BBQ short ribs which came with a loaded baked potato and corn. The ribs were tender and meaty. The potato was definitely loaded - way more butter and sour cream than one person should have. Most of it was scraped off and deposited on the side. The corn was nothing special. He brought half of his plate home as well.
Neither one of us had any desire for dessert. We just wanted to pay our bill and leave. The patrons at the bar were getting louder shouting back and forth at one another and I grew tired of hearing them comfort some guy who had obviously ended a romantic relationship. So much for an enjoyable birthday meal with your spouse.
The best part of the entire night was the broccoli and our server was phenomenal. I know we won't be back. Oh and my boxed meatloaf? It got tossed after we got home.

We have eaten at The Sticky Elbow many times. It’s definitely one of our favorite places in the area. The servers are always friendly and the we’ve always gotten our food in a timely manner.
The calamari appetizer is awesome and my favorite meal is the seafood risotto - it’s absolutely delicious. Generous portions and flavorful food. I always look forward to seeing their specials posted to see what new dishes they’ve created. Will be back again and again!

We chose the Sticky Elbow as the online menu had some VERY promising items which we would like to order. We even cancelled reservations at another restaurant in Williamsport as the menu seemed both more varied and more enticing. It was neither. Of the 6 or 7 very attractive items we thought we would choose from, NONE was on the actual menu (Crab Cakes, Filet mignon, Ahi Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Elk Tenderloin, Kobe Flat Steak, and more). By that point we were already committed and too late to go elsewhere. Many of the items we did order were not even shown on the online menu. VERY disappointing. The food was OK but nothing like what the online menu promised.

We stopped by the Sticky Elbow after going to the Victorian Christmas Festivities downtown on Saturday evening. I haven’t been here in a while and I like the food. My complaint today was not so much the food but the service. We sat at the bar (there were 2 of us) which was fine as we did not have a reservation. We ordered French Onion Soup, the Pork Belly Mac Bowl and the Italian Sandwich. The soup came out first, it was very good and had a nice depth of flavor. After the first few bites I noticed a metallic purple strand of something in the soup. I got it out and placed it on a napkin. When the bar tender, after a very long time, wizzed by asking how it was. When she finally came back I showed her the purple strand an she looked at it said oh, and took it back to the kitchen without another word about it. I thought at the very least I should have gotten an apology. Our meals came in a very reasonable amount of time and we both really liked what we ordered. We were plenty full and asks for boxes and we were brought one and had to ask, again, for two. Then we were ignored for another ten minutes before we were asked if we wanted the bill which we were obviously finished as we had placed our meal in the to go containers.
In the end we loved the food we ordered, but the service and lack of addressing the mystery purple strand in my soup was very off putting. Service is never a game breaker for me as long as the food is good (of the two this is much more preferable).

The restaurant lost its MOJO over a year ago. We decided to give it another try and shouldn't have. Undercooked baked potatoes, spoiled tasting short ribs, gritty seafood, soggy nachos and more. We sent two of the meals back and watched another table do the same. This place is poorly run, dirty and inconsistent. A grubby guy from the kitchen walked by and went up the stairs to do something but never said a word about our rejected meals. Try somewhere else.

After moving our daughter into Lycoming College, we decided to explore Williamsport for an early dinner. Based on reviews, tried Sticky Elbows. Worth the visit. As others say, the portions are huge and reasonably priced. The menu was eclectic with many standards but also dishes that included bison and elk. The calamari appetizer was well cooked and seasoned. I had the Cowboy Rissoto which was a risotto with brisket, bacon, jalapeño and Gouda cheese. Delicious . My wife had a chili chicken dish and daughter had an eggplant parmigiana sandwich. We enjoyed the leftovers and will not hesitate to go back. The waiting staff was friendly and attentive.

The place looks nice inside. It's kind of a modern vibe. The food is great!
For our appetizer had the Scallops. So Yummy I could slap the cook!
Entre: I had the BBQ short ribs that come with seasoned corn and a loaded baked potato. All so tasty and the meat was fall off the bone tender.
My daughter had the Berkheimer Pork Shank. Also very tender, and the smoked gouda scalloped potatoes went perfect with it.
I only wish this place was near us!

This restaurant welcomed a group of 20 without a reservation and provided outstanding gracious service. The menu is outstanding with many excellent choices. The serving sizes are very generous and the food was outstanding. Prices were very reasonable for what we had. The wait staff were very friendly accommodating and hard working. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back when in the area.

We were attending the Victorian Home tour & asked a docent where was a good place to eat that we might not of heard of before and she recommended this place. We parked out front & only one other car was there & I thought, oh no! Well apparently people park in the back & on the side as it was busy inside. We shared an Apple pie cocktail and liked it, then we ordered the crack chicken bread as an appetizer which is a meal in itself. Really liked it. They have a good selection of appetizers. I ordered the eggplant sandwich. I didn’t care for it. Sliced thin and stacked high but I didn’t like the flavor it was like a frozen taste. Bread was hard, over toasted and it states roasted tomatoes, but they weren’t. Fries weren’t good they were soggy. Husband’s sticky dip sandwich was ok, some of the meat was burnt, charred. And again soggy fries. We would go back and only have appetizers!

Nice staff but a very dirty restaurant. The floors, tables, window sills, sinks, and seats are filthy and in disrepair. If the parts that you can see are this bad, imagine what the kitchen looks like. We won't be going back.

In Williamsport on a Sunday evening after a full day of travel….limited dining options. Was here pre-pandemic, good experience, let’s try it again.
Restaurant was busy which is always an encouraging sign. We shared the Drunken Tuna Roll which was quite good. My business associate had the Cheesesteak while I had the Spring Salad. Both were good, hitting the spot..
