Wanted something more than pub food. this place delivered. Great interesting food. Had venison which don't get to often. Excellent wine menu although a bit pricey on relatively easy to get wines. 2.5 times store prices.

Went on a recommendation of a PSU prof, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.....excellent service, food, and ambiance. Best place I've frequented in State College during an annual business trip for the last 4 years.

The red snapper was delicious and is their signature dish. We went on a Saturday night, and it actually was fairly quiet since everybody was home or out getting ready to watch the Big 10 championship game. Service was excellent. Would have given 5 stars but it was very pricey for State College. Over $90 per person with tip and... More

The service was good, but that was where it ended. The charcuterie was not worth going back for and the crab sandwich was very disappointing.....where was the crab? This was a lunch and had planned on going back for dinner but thought our money would be best spent elsewhere.

OK, we visited on the Friday of a football weekend. The place was crowded with adults because students cannot afford a fine dining establishment's price scale. That said, the acoustics in this place are terrible. They tried to soften the noise with acoustic mobiles hanging from the ceiling, but it is still very loud and not the most romantic. That... More

We go to Zola every football weekend because its one of the few "adult friendly" places in State College where you can enjoy a glass of Champagne or a cocktail without having a beer spilled on you. ;-) It has been a favorite of ours for many years. That being said, I'm sorry to report that we were very disappointed... More

We were absolutely delighted with our experience at Zola on Sunday 8/21/16. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She gave us excellent food and wine suggestions. This was very much appreciated because it was hard to choose. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My group of eight friends visited Zola Kitchen and Wine Bar on July 15, 2016 for dinner. My initial impression was of a lack-luster interior and mildly offish attitudes by the hostess and server. The menu was certainly interesting, but the pricing was higher in comparison to other local top-end restaurants. Cost is never a factor if I thoroughly enjoy... More
