Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff, great food. Reservations not required but sometimes necessary. Really Irish.

Loved this place. A new favorite when we are in Reading. We stopped in on a busy Saturday night, not knowing they take reservations, we were greeted by the hostess and owner. They did everything they could to get us a table. We were very thankful. Atmosphere was fun. Food we ordered was delicious and hot. Fish and chips, burger,... More

We travel to Redding once a year on business. We were referred to the Ugly Oyster and loved it! Quaint Irish Pub serving delicious dinners and yummy bar food. Can't go wrong for a casual meal.

Food was ok. I had fried oyster sandwich, my family had fish and chips. Waiter was busy so wasn't spending time to explain us with the menu. Over all it wasn't too bad. Good place to hang out and have a glass of wine or beer.

The bar is located two blocks from the Santander Arena (previously called the Sovereign Center). The Ugly Oyster is open... More

Going to the ugly oyster reminds me of our first meal in Ireland without the overnight flight. The beautiful wooden bar was imported from Ireland and the Guinness is as close as you can get to the Temple bar area . The fish and chips come in 2 varieties ,old school or new school. And the oysters are as fresh... More

The Oyster is a beautiful pub in downtown Reading. The food is very good. I enjoy the old woodwork and the bar was made in England.
