Nothing special about this restaurant, but the food is pretty good. It's odd that they an Asian mix rather than identifying as one type of food, but if you're with a group who can't agree on what kind of Asian food they want, this may be a good choice. Service is never very good, but the food is decent.
Stopped for dinner with Mom & was amazed at the service, menu selections & quality of food! Excellent We had Chinese Eggplant with Tofu, lemon Chicken,!california rolls & lo mein. We loved everything. Some dishes come in smaller portions. Would visit again.
I hadn't had Chinese in while and was missing it. YA fei was a great place to try, the couple at the front desk were extremely friendly and help me choose from the extensive menu. I ordered take out and when I got home the food was just what I needed and very well done. I would recommend YA Fei,... More
I stopped in for dinner and browsed the Special Sushi Rolls section of the menu when I saw two that caught my eye. The first I tried was the Lobster Roll which had spicy crabmeat with obay seasoning, cucumber, topped with lobster salad. It was excellent and had just the right kick to give flavor without overpowering the lobster or... More
The Chinese food was quite good all around, not gummy, just spicy enough. Very good wait staff, never intrusive but always available. I'd go back for the chow fun. Sadly, the sushi was average at best - and I do not recommend getting the ikura (salmon roe) sushi. Really below average on that one.
I know some folks would go out of their way for this restaurant .I personally would not. First , I was cold it was a July day in mid 80's wearing shorts and tee .I hate going into a place where I feel like I should have brought a sweater. Downright chilly not just cool. I got hot drink cause... More
I cannot comment highly enough on the consistency of the meals at Ya Fei. I have eaten here most of the times I've visited Pittsburgh/Robinson Center shopping area, and each time the food is just as good as the previous visit. I've tried a variety of dishes as well, including items from their sushi menu, and all have been prepared... More
I have walked past this restaurant at least twenty times since coming to this area but never even considered eating here until a good friend suggested that we meet for dinner. I'm not a big fan of Asian cuisine and I was a bit apprehensive when my friend said that Ya Fei was one of the best Chinese restaurants in... More
