The ambience at the Frick Café is great and the previous (4 months ago) lunch I had there was delicious. The lunch items that we ordered on Mother's Day were below par. Two of us had Crab Cake Benedict. Our entrees included many pieces of crab shell which we had to pick out as we ate! My husband ordered the... More

If you're looking for an incredibly charming spot to have dinner in Pittsburg, look no further. This restaurant is situated in a carriage house overlooking the greenhouse and Frick mansion. I came on a Friday night when the museum was open late and made a reservation at the restaurant with a tour afterwards. I highly recommend it for a charming... More

On March 12, 2013, we had afternoon tea at the Café at the Frick. Although pleasant, the server wasn’t attentive. As examples, she didn’t return to ask if we needed anything else or to inquire about the food, and she refilled the hot water only for one of the two pots of tea, after we had finished our meal and... The Frick Cafe is a delightful enhancement of the complex. It's tiny and quaint with delicious food that is nicely presented. It also has tea service. My only complaint is that it is a little cramped. You can make reservations early if you're a member of The Frick or I believe the day of if you're not.

After visiting the historic house of the Frick family, we went to the cafè for bite to eat. We chose Afternoon Tea, which was excellent and tasty in lovely surroundings. If you're not driving, why not try the Royal Tea with house wine or champagne.

This is my favorite place for high tea. They present you with a 3 tier tray of goodies. One with scones and collated cream and jam, finger sandwiches, and finally several deserts. If you are a member there's a 10% discount. There's also a Royal High Tea which includes champagne. I enjoy going there because the view of the garden... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch outdoors in the cafe. It was beautiful setting to enjoy a lunch with my coworker. The menu offered unique seasonal items that would certainly appeal to anyone. They also offer vegan and gluten free items clearly marked on their daily menus. Our server was friendly and attentive. On this visit, there was a wide variety... More

Hubby & I had salads here for lunch, and both our server and his caesar salad were great. My goat cheese salad would have been, if half the greens (mostly arugula) hadn't been yellowing and/or just plain rotting. Disgusting. Fresh salad greens... pretty simple if you ask me.

We were at The Frick Museum for an exhibit and had lunch here afterwards. A lovely atmosphere and a great garden to eat in, on a nice day. The special was rainbow trout which was fabulous. The others in my party all had different things and everyone was pleased. Oh - don't miss the deserts.
