We went here on a Sunday morning, about 9am, and it was already packed. Had a short wait, about 20 minutes, until 2 spots opened up at the counter. It was interesting watching the massive amounts of food being cooked!! If you sit at the counter, you get a behind the scenes look, in addition to great service! The food... More

We try to visit the Strip District several times during the year and almost always stand in line at DeLuca's. This is a typical diner, nothing fancy but the food is worth the wait. Most notable is the Steel City Breakfast of Champions. All 4 of us ordered it and we hardly had room on the table for everything. Breakfast... More

My job is to review and judge restaurant so I'm sure you can imagine how critical I can be. While on a visit to Pittsburgh, I heard about this diner that has been open since 1958. It is family owned and the location in the strip district is the location I visited. They have another location in Robinson Town Center.... More

This is a traditional urban diner, from the food to the staff to the decor. The seating looks original and my guess is that the menu has been fairly consistent over the years. The service was excellent and fast, the food was delicious, and the price definitely was right. My one comment is that the corned beef hash was missing... More

Whenever we head to the Strip District to shop we always stop in DeLuca's for brunch. We've never had a bad experience. I love sweet things & their crepes are amazing! My husband always gets the Mixed Grill, which is huge! Great coffee, great Pittsburgh atmosphere. Don't be fooled by the "diner" appearance. You won't be sorry you stopped in.... More

Very blue collar diner - great breakfasts. Hugh portions - may want to share pancakes - I ordered the cinnamon pancakes- they came with bacon or sausage and an egg. Enjoyed old school decorations and attitude.

This is a classic and mainstay P'burgh establishment. The decor is blue-collar Americana and the food and the service is great. If you are looking for a tasty breakfast that will hold you over for several hours, this is the place to have an awesome breakfast.

Description
DeLuca's in the Strip District of Pittsburgh is the original DeLuca's Diner. Our diner is an old fashioned diner that has been in business since 1950. The new owners have owned and operated DeLuca's for over 25 years now maintaining the nostalgic feel and look of the original diner. DeLuca's is located on Penn Avenue, just look for the rooster on top of our building!
