My husband and I are Pittsburghers; we've visited DeLuca's MANY times in the past. We've always been delighted. However, on Presidents Day, 2017, we experienced a bit of a problem. There was a wait outside the door at 11:00 am, but it moved quickly, so that wasn't a big issue. Once seated, however, there was a blower that was blowing... More

Visited this diner while in Pittsburgh, Pa for a convention. It's located on Penn Ave in the bustling Strip District which has numerous cafes, specialty food shops and just a great overall vibe. We went for breakfast on a Friday morning and had to wait for approx. 10-12 mins. The place was packed with happy diners...it's a good kind of... More

This is a VERY popular destination. More so after Adam of Man Vs. Food fame made a famous visit, I'm sure. There is always a line no matter the time of day or week. Always expect to wait up to as much as 20 minutes to be seated. The breakfast, which is all they are really open for, is just... More

We stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and managed to snag a spot at the bar with no wait. Our server was great and our food was decent. My husband loved his, mine was a little too greasy for my taste but I'd try something else next time. The girls next to me had some delicious looking burgers. It... More

We went here on a Sunday morning, about 9am, and it was already packed. Had a short wait, about 20 minutes, until 2 spots opened up at the counter. It was interesting watching the massive amounts of food being cooked!! If you sit at the counter, you get a behind the scenes look, in addition to great service! The food... More

We try to visit the Strip District several times during the year and almost always stand in line at DeLuca's. This is a typical diner, nothing fancy but the food is worth the wait. Most notable is the Steel City Breakfast of Champions. All 4 of us ordered it and we hardly had room on the table for everything. Breakfast... More

My job is to review and judge restaurant so I'm sure you can imagine how critical I can be. While on a visit to Pittsburgh, I heard about this diner that has been open since 1958. It is family owned and the location in the strip district is the location I visited. They have another location in Robinson Town Center.... More

This is a traditional urban diner, from the food to the staff to the decor. The seating looks original and my guess is that the menu has been fairly consistent over the years. The service was excellent and fast, the food was delicious, and the price definitely was right. My one comment is that the corned beef hash was missing... More

Description
DeLuca's in the Strip District of Pittsburgh is the original DeLuca's Diner. Our diner is an old fashioned diner that has been in business since 1950. The new owners have owned and operated DeLuca's for over 25 years now maintaining the nostalgic feel and look of the original diner. DeLuca's is located on Penn Avenue, just look for the rooster on top of our building!
