A local waitress told us Szmidts had the best perogis around. Boy was she right. Wish we would have found this place earlier in our trip, while I try to try new places while vacationing I would return here in a heart beat.

First time to Pittsburgh, first time having pierogies and boy did this place set the bar real high for the next time I have them. They were simply amazing! I visited with 2 others so we split 12--4 Buffalo Chicken, 4 Spinach and Feta and...More
Caught a late lunch here on a Friday afternoon... we had pierogies and a pulled pork bbq sandwich, which were good. The sandwich didn't have a typical bbq flavor, but its sauce/spices had a subtle kick to it/them. The deli is convenient to the Westin...More

Great little place with lots of fresh made food. We were there for lunch and we're pleased with the selection and quality of the food served. Service was friendly and attentive.
We just happened to stop in here for lunch while on errands. It was a great surprise. It is larger than we expected. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. Everything is made in house. My wife had the "Emily", a turkey with Swiss and...More
