This is a little gem in the Cultural District in downtown Pittsburgh. They have an amazing beer selection and several flat screen TVs which is a perfect setting for catching a ballgame. I like wheat and lighter beers. I had the Whittaker, which might be the best beer I have ever had. It had a very smooth taste with a... More
We came to The Sharp Edge based on our hotel's recommendation. The beer menu is quite overwhelming, we would highly recommend the sampler so you can try as many beers as you can. The food was ok. We had the Buffalo Bites, which wasn't too impressive and the Oktoberfest pretzels, which were delicious! Would be a great place to go... More
We ended up here only because we were in the theatre district on a Saturday night without a reservation but had a really nice meal. There were several large parties so service was not quick but there were plenty of good craft and bottle beers to coast on until we were served. This was one of the few places I... More
Some friends and I stopped in for a late dinner. They have a great selection of beers, and bonus points since they have Lambic beer! Everyone liked their food, burgers and sandwiches, and the Belgian chocolate pudding was a huge hit. Our server was attentive and friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed. A nice place to... More
I suppose if you just sit at the bar it's OK. We should have known since only two tables were occupied on a Saturday night when other restaurants on the same block were at least half full. We were shown to a table immediately. While a server came to the table right next us twice we never even got a... More
We stopped for a burger and beer at The Sharp Edge while visiting downtown PIttsburgh. I am not a big beer drinker at all, but the bartender let us sample some of the beers until we found the ones that everyone like. That was really nice, not ordering something that we had never tried and not liking it. Great staff... More
We enjoyed the patio at The Sharp Edge last year while attending a convention, and were delighted that it was just as good this year! Lots of choice of beer on tap, great burgers, and we even had the same server as last year! Thanks Dayne, for your cheerful and friendly service! Will definitely go back next year!
Some of the food was ok--had a nice salad. But the flat breads were bland and not very warm. The frites were the biggest surprise-how can you call yourself a Belgium restaurant and serve up lukewarm steak fries as frites? Nice beer selection though.
