A beautiful old tavern with a cozy bar. Michael, the bartender, makes a mean Old Fashioned. Service and food were good. This place is not inexpensive, though. They do have a nice bar menu which is more casual. Well worth a visit.

My husband and I did a quick trip to Lancaster....we literally stumbled across this restaurant while driving and decided to come back for dinner. We spent some time at the bar before dinner and had so much fun...Michael was great....his martinis were awesome and service was wonderful....very "smooth". Dinner was delicious and the service was good... The atmosphere was amazing.... More

We've eaten at this restaurant countless times over the years and have always had outstanding service and food. We always look forward to this beautiful restaurant when we visit Pennsylvania. Our server was new and wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. It was a totally different menu with none of the items we had always ordered. She wasn't familiar with the... More

awful food on cheap quality plates, awful arrangement(sitting with 6 strangers at a big round table). Bartender couldn't even make a Margarita or offered us any alternative drink after we waited in line for over 20 minutes. Paid over 200 dollars for nothing at New Year's Eve. We ended up having to spend more money to downtown area for a... More

Great meal, great service in a warm, cozy room! I had colossal shrimp cocktail, delicious rockfish over risotto.

My husband took me here on my honeymoon and I'm so glad he did! It was quiet and cozy by the fireplace, and all the workers were so nice. The drinks we had were fantastic and I loved our souvenir glass I got to take home. We're definitely coming back here!

I reviewed this restaurant years ago and gave it a great rating. So, of course, my husband and I chose to return there for a special birthday dinner in September. What a huge mistake!!! I've seen a couple reviews complaining about a certain waitress. Yep, we got her too. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! She half-heartedly asked for our drink order, disappeared... More

Really nice place and really nice staff. The building is from 1740 and it has a warm rustic feeling. The food is great, but not cheap. I would definitely recommend it. The bar is cozy and very friendly.

Mrs. B and I have been dining here for 40 years. Built in 1740 the restaurant offers excellent food and service. Our server Angela was all you could ask for. Always checking on us and making sure we were well taken care of. I had the filet mignon, cooked perfectly with delicious "fresh" mashed potatoes. Mrs. B had the crab... More
