Casual and Fine Dining in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Our seasonal menu offers environmentally conscious, local, and wholesome options. The same menu is offered in each of our unique dining areas. Visit our website to see our current menu. We offer live entertainment seven nights in our Lounge bar. The Lounge bar boasts our piano which was reclaimed from Odettes Cabaret and Piano Bar in 2006. You can catch your favorite sports game on one of our five TVs in our Tavern bar while enjoying freshly popped popcorn. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed to join their humans on our patio. Call us or visit our website to make reservations for our dining room or lounge bar tables. We do not take reservations for outdoor dining, tavern bar tables, and seats at both the tavern and lounge bars. Walk-ins are always welcome.

***** Excellent food... from appetizers to dessert

Wow, this place is a real find. It is always busy, lunch or dinner. If you want a table, best to make a reservation. They pour a good drink and the selections will satisfy most tastes. The appetizers are great, especially the whipped fulper farms ricotta. They have very good sandwiches and burgers. Excellent choices are offered on the main entrees with a great selection of sides, nothing boring here. Be sure to ask your server about the daily specials. There is musical entertainment just about every evening. It's a very nice touch and the volume is reasonable, you do not have to scream to hear each other over the music. If you're in New Hope make sure you go to this establishment, excellent food and you'll have a great time.

Very Nice Tavern, Good Value

This is a very nice tavern - larger on the inside than it appears from the road - at which we had dinner. We loved how the menu on the website was current with our evening's specials along with the regular menu. Sandwiches as well as full entrees' were available and at all price ranges. We felt the food and quantity was very fairly priced, particularly as this is in a tourist area. Beers are on tap and by bottle and the wine list covers the major varieties as well as a range of price points for each. There was a live piano player and it seems they have live music most nights, but the restaurant was packed and lively so we didn't hear much of the playing. That said, our order was timely taken and delivered at a surprisingly quick place for how crowed the venue was. Everything made for an enjoyable evening. We'll be back for the grass fed burgers - it's great this establishment supports its local farmers.

Quaint, historical, but the food was fresh, and delicious. Nice selection, roast beef was not overcooked, lite and moist. Definitely worth a visit. Scallops had a wonderful sear, tender and tasty!

Usually have good things to say about a restaurant. Something!! But, got sick 20 minutes after I ate there. Ribs tender, but so spiced that they didn't taste like ribs anymore. Wife's Caesar salad terrible. No taste. Had to ask for more dressing. No bread; didn't have any available (until I saw them come out with Italian rolls for cheesesteaks. As soon as we walked in they told us we could only stay 90 minutes even though we called and made reservations ahead of time; maybe they should let us know that before they ok the reservation? My dish was, quite frankly, terrible; 5 one inch scallops, refried-like beans and some green beans for $28. I had one diet soda, terrible ribs, and scallops; Wife had caesar salad, and soup. 80$. Used to be a great place for locals. Now, I don't know what it is. Sorry, but I had told some friends to go there; I called them up right after our visit and told them not to go. Last time there. No handicap parking and no handicap access that we could find. Needs some adjustments. Not a great birthday experience.

Still the Best Burger

I don't eat much beef. So, when I have a craving for a great burger, I want nothing less than the best. And Bowman's delivers every time! They start with great grass fed beef and then they prepare it well. A great burger deserves a great roll and Bowman's serves their burger on a tasty Brioche. We also love their big, fat onion rings. During the current virus crisis we prefer to eat outdoors. Unfortunately, Bowman's has limited outdoor seating (see photo). There are about six outdoor tables that each seat four people. So, if you like to dine outside, my advice is: use Open Table to make a reservation and request an outdoor table.

Very Average Food and Service

Ordered a pumpkin humus appetizer and they gave what amounted to potato chips for dipping. Salty and average. Had a lamb sandwich was also very average. Wife’s meal the same. Desert was rice pudding. Better but nothing special. Service not good either. Many other better choices in this area.

Valet parking mandatory, rude valet, never made it inside.

On a beautiful early autumn Sunday my wife and I enjoyed a tour of the Solebury area in our antique automobile. As we passed Bowman's Tavern my wife decided she would like to check it out for brunch. We parked the car in a safe spot in the rear of the parking lot. As we were exiting the car a young man ran toward us stating we cannot park the car in that location. He stated the parking lot was valet parking only and we must give him the keys to park the car. I told him the car was already parked in a spot I preferred. The young man asked for the keys and stated he would move the car to another location. We were given the ultimatum, hand over the keys or leave the premises. My wife was getting very upset so we decided to leave. We had a great brunch at a nearby restaurant. If Bowman's Tavern loses the valet parking policy we would probably return.

Outdoor dining just outside New Hope

This was our first time at Bowman’s Tavern since before the pandemic. Lucas was our server. There was a laminated card on the table to let customers know that the kitchen is doing the best they can and they’d appreciate no substitutions on orders. I was happy to see this because it helps us set our expectations. When I made the reservations, I requested an outdoor table in the shade for our party of 5. That’s just what we got. Everyone was happy with the food. I tried the ricotta gnudi with a side of crostini. It was delicious. Lucas was very friendly and attentive. They have Coke products. They also have valet parking. I’m really glad that the quality of the food and service are as good as they’ve always been. We’ll definitely be returning.

Great Lunch

We visited Washington Crossing Park and we’re headed to New Hope for lunch when we began chatting with an employee there — he suggested we should stop at Bowmans. It was a great recommendation! It’s a relaxing quaint tavern. The food was very good, just what we were looking for — we split the Ruben and had a salad as the side. The service was friendly and prices reasonable. Definitely would stop again.

Good with Allergies

I have a severe nightshade allergy. They were able to fix me up with a delicious burger and they even had my favorite whiskey (Suntory). We went here for all 3 nights we stayed at Bowman's Inn. Recommend. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. ^_^.

POOR MANAGEMENT - CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD CHARGES

On 08 AUG 2021, my wife and I had dinner at Bowman's Tavern, New Hope. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. At the conclusion of our meal we were given a bill for $96.48. I used my credit card to pay for the food and drinks. As is my custom I XXX'd out the tip and wrote $96.48 for the total on the Merchants copy. I tip in in cash, and put $21.00 in the folder along with the signed CC receipt. As is my habit I checked my CC account that evening, and saw the charge for $96.48. On TUE, 08/10/2021, I checked my CC and found that Bowman's Tavern had adjusted my CC charges to $117.48. I tried calling at that time, but the Tavern was closed until WED. So I sent an email with all the details about the overcharge of $21.00. On WED, 14:30 hours, I called the Tavern and spoke to the GM. The GM had not seen my email, so I explained my concerns. The GM agreed to look into the matter and get back to me. The GM called me THU morning, and apologized for the mistake in the adjusted overcharge. I expressed my concern about how a mistake was made when I XXX'd out the TIP, and left a cash tip of $21.00. The GM stood by the fact it was a mistake. The GM asked for and given, that day, my CC info so I would receive my $21.00 overcharge. It is now 22:40 hours, MON 08/16/2021, and I have not seen a credit for $21.00 on my account.

Not what it used to be

My wife and I have been coming to Bowman’s for years and have seen the quality of service and food go down and prices go way up the last couple of years. On our most recent visit, we waited more than 45 minutes for our dinners with a half empty restaurant. Food was disappointing. Chicken sandwich was mostly breading and the other meals were barely warm. Sad to see this place go down hill.

Good food

Need a reservation for a Sat nite- Who would think as this is a average bar restaurant. Had to sit at the bar- Music trio band was good. Food better than most taverns Chicken cheesesteak was good full of meat and cheese Meatloaf expensive but looked yummy. All the restaurants today are way over priced because they’re trying to make up for what they lost during Covid. You can cook better at home and I have better food and healthier food

Had a family Christmas dinner

Had a family Christmas dinner here and really enjoyed our experience. The menu had a decent variety of food from bar food to classic dishes. All of the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very ‘local tavern’ like. I will be back again.

Holy geez.

The fake (veg) crab chili rellenos appetizer were spectacular and the mushroom sandwich was one most creative sandwiches I’ve ever had. The chef is a genius. The menu is seasonal and many of the ingredients are regionally sourced from ethical farms. I felt spoiled with all the vegetarian options. Service was A+. Felt safe for COVID, and they have heaters set up outside for colder weather.
