I try to avoid chain restaurants, and this place is a great lunch stop. Great burgers, friendly staff and also friendly customers. Sort of place that feels very homey. Great food, super clean.

Every time I come home to New Castle, as we happen to drive by Lindy's, we always say "We should try that sometime." Yesterday we did. Yum. It's a medium sized eatery with plenty of room between tables. The servers were absolutely friendly, accommodating, and...darling. While the menu is limited (and whose isn't these days) what they do, they do incredibly well. They offer dogs, burgers, breakfast, what you'd call diner fare. This is not the place for huge pasta meals, steaks, etc. I had the cheeseburger, 1/3 pound of fresh beef in hand -formed patty. Added the cheese and toppings, and a whopping 4.50. Fries with gravy? SO good. Dogs are traditional or all beef with chili and kraut as available toppings. That same night, my mother and I took 2 others for dinner because lunch was so darned good. Everyone left happy. I had the chicken gyro. Delicious, but I did order extra tzatziki sauce. They also offer specials such as sausage and chicken sandwiches. I may never eat fast food in NC again if Lindy's is open.
