Waited a half and hour to get in on a Sunday night....We only ordered sandwiches but it took at least another half hour to get our food. It was not hot at all when we got it. I ordered a burger medium well...the first half...More

Stopped in late one afternoon during the week and mostly had the place to ourselves. This is a great venue - nicely restored barn with sports pub theme mixed with some old-world class. I enjoyed a salad with seared tuna; the salad was wilted somewhat...More

We waited 45 minutes for a table because they forgot about us. Then we had the pleasure of listening to a table full of screaming babies whose parents were not even correcting them. And they were camping there for well over an hour. The apps...More

It was our first time back since the fire. The renovation is beautiful although not as big. The server was wonderful. The food...not impressed. The buffalo chicken dip was well boring! Very little chicken if any at all. Not that much of a kick for...More

I think it really depends on the time of day, the cook/ waitress, and if you are one of the owners friends or not whether you will enjoy your meal or not. The food is average. The service can be great or suck.

Smaller, more open space, less congested all describe the reborn Buckeye Tavern. If it's possible, the food is even better than before the fire. Good service and pleasant pub ambiance mark the new Buckeye. Good beer selections and a solid menu of tavern food with...More

After the second fire the Buckeye has reopened. It is now more like a sports bar than a mid-range dining experience. This is a positive thing. Casual food is very well done, drinks and drink specials each night are a plus. Décor is lively and...More

A fine local establishment with a lot of history. It won't win any food awards, but it is pleasant and delivers serviceable food with friendly waitstaff. I had the steak quesadilla, which was fine. The wings were good and hot and crispy. My husband had...More

We went to the pre-fire Buckeye several times and always had a good experience. The post-fire Buckeye, though, is simply unexpected. The building has changed significantly for the better. I love the new atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced, and really tasty. The menu is...More

Since 1735, the Buckeye Tavern, located in Macungie, PA, has been a local landmark, serving the finest in tavern food and libations to generations of regular patrons and out-of-town guests. Opened as an inn and hotel in 1735 and operating through the late 1800s as the East Macungie Hotel and later as The Load of Mischief, the property has long been in the business of serving customers with our own unique local style — a blend of true hospitality and fine food.
