Very good tasty. It is nice place for to go with couple. Small but very confortable. Everything we have eaten was very good. 9 points for price-quality.

Upscale food at upscale pricing. Great presentation but the same taste you could get at a more reasonable price. Great atmosphere and ambiance.

Second time for dinner here in the past few months. Every aspect is really quite excellent: service, attitude, food, presentation, interiors. Definitely liked the bibimpap. It seems a little peculiar that two high end restaurants are right next to each other. As far as we...More

They have a good wine selection, though not great. Good wine pricing. Salad was good, NY strip steak was quite good bit overpriced. Deserts were very good. It's also a nice atmosphere in an old tobacco warehouse. Overall, a really good restaurant but overpriced for...More

What a surprise to find such an exquisite dining experience for a party of gluten-free vegetarians and a pescatarian. First, the atmosphere was splendid with intimate seating and lovely low lighting. The wine list was extensive and we loved our choices of a local Riesling...More

Amazing seasonal farm to table dishes! I cannot say enough about our meal at this fabulous restaurant! The shrimp and grits, the pork belly love and the lamb shank were all to die for...and their prices were reasonable. Take my word since I live in...More

We have been meaning to try this arts hotel star, and chose it instead of our normal go-to restaurant for celebrations. We had a great experience! The decor somehow combines the heritage of the previous tobacco warehouse with upscale dining, creating a casual yet distinctive...More

We had the best experience entertaining folks from a metropolitan environment with a exceptional farm to table dinner. The evening was well received by all and we will definitely go there again. The servers were knowledgeable, attentive and efficient, which is always a plus. I...More

We went for their fixed price New Year's Eve dinner and were disappointed overall - portions small, a lamb chop completely uncooked on one side, and serving the wrong wine in the wine flight. There were positives - nice venue, the food was tasty and...More

I found them to be very accommodating: one of my dining companions was lactose intolerant and the chef prepared a special meal for her that the rest of us envied. We did call a day in advance to let them know and our... More

During renovations, workers found in the floor beams a signed inspection stamp--November 5, 1890--with the name of tobacco inspector John J. Jeffries. We named the restaurant after him.

We’ve designed our menu based on local, seasonal, sustainable and organic agriculture and delicious recipes. Please join us and taste the difference of local farm-to-table sustainable cuisine in one of Lancaster's best fine dining restaurants.
As the Chefs and Owners of John J Jeffries, we believe you will find our passion for supporting local businesses and preserving the land we live on, to be contagiously obvious in how we run our restaurant.
All of our meats are raised locally, confinement-free on fresh green grass pastures. No hormones, antibiotics, steroids or forced-fertilization occurs.

Our produce is local organic or chemical free. We use local grass fed cream, butter and eggs.

We also provide sustainable seafood and support sustainable fisheries.
