Lots of choice for take away if you want hamburgers or fish and chips. Prices are reasonable compared to city prices.

We were on the road for three days back from Ballina to Shepparton with the caravan so decided to take a detour off the Hume highway to Yass for lunch. Trying to stay away from Maccas etc but still liking a hamburger we decided to go to this cafe...it certainly had a great selection of food but kept with the... More

This little cafe most not have changed since it first opened, the booths are very sixties and it is not a retro attempt at decoration. Ordered bacon and eggs for breakfast....came with tomato and hot chips..a bit early for chips...but!! Good home cooking nice coffee, the place smells a bit greasy but otherwise its fine. The owner is a very... More

Popped in late on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite. First rate service, a top burger on a fresh bun and a good coffee. I'll be eating here in future instead of Maccas up the road.

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening, and we were pleasantly surprised. Took me back to when, as children, we had Fish & Chips as a treat. Ordered two of the 'Fish & Chip' specials, lovely fresh fish in a crisp batter and great chips. Very friendly service, and an all round good feel to the place (worth diverting... More

Best fish and chips around. Great service and it is far from expensive. Love the 50s feel of the place.

I wonder if there are many such old fashioned cafes in many towns around Australia. On the main street with convenient parking they make a great roast chook but especially yummy garlic potato and hot pastas to eat in or take away. Prices are pretty much the same as anywhere.

I only got a cappuccino as we were not stopping which I have to say was worse than a servo coffee. The upside was that the staff were extremely friendly!!

A real old time country cafe - brilliant. You can eat in or take away. If you are over the usual expressway food stop, get off the highways that bypass the towns. The friendliness of the staff and the size of the servings take you back to another era. The only complaint is that they only accept cash, no credit... More

The staff are friendly and helpful and make great take away or dine in food. It is conveniently located on the main street amongst other restaurants, cafes and retail shops.
