This 100 year old building is wonderfully located in the Tweed River near Mt Warning The staff are pleasant and the food tastefully presented and very tasty. We enjoyed an excellent anti pasta platter and friends had prawn and avocado salad.

Thanks for the great meal Mavis's Kitchen. We had a post wedding dinner here with a small group of family and friends. They also had a large wedding party there as well that they were catering to. When we walked up, there was a waitress waiting outside, and we gave them our name. They immediately said, "Wedding Party". Great to... More

Visited today, Easter Sunday with family. Sad to see the devastation of the lower gardens but the restaurant was ticking along beautifully. We enjoyed such an amazing lunch - fresh barramundi cooked to perfection, pork medallions, beef ribs and excellent children's meals. The service was excellent - the young girl who served us would be right at home in any... More

Awesome lunch in an idealic setting. The oysters were fresh & the pork belly divine. Mt Warning walk was shut due to floods & landslides :( but that wasn't Mavis's fault ! Sardines were also tasty. Nicked up to Nimbin for some culture instead. We'll be back.

Really enjoyed our leisurely Sunday morning tea here. Even though the gardens had recently been damaged by the floods it was still a beautiful landscaped garden to sit and relax and enjoy the friendly service. I'm not sure about the waitress calling me Madam but it made way for some laughs. The jam that accompanied the scones was divine. Relaxing... More

We booked for nine people downstairs near the garden with a breeze wafting from the vegie patch. We were welcomed, given the water, offered menus and felt relaxed and comfortable. The cheese board and wagu beef entrees were meals in themselves but we persevered with mains; linguini, lamb, chicken, fish, falafel and mussels. All exceptional and all around the $29... More

Fine dining at it's best. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is fantabulous. Friday night Tapas is a must, it's fresh, flavoursome and delicious. The staff are just devine and are very attentive. The gardens are beautiful and a great place to meander around after your meal, taking in the home grown herbs and veges, a real experience knowing that's... More

Stopped for a light snack with friends. Had just a starter each. We were shocked at the price of the scallops. Four tiny pieces of scallop on a smear of something whitish and decorated with a few small purple flowers. The food was fabulously overpriced and we remained distinctly hungry. Hope the main courses are better value but we are... More

My daughter and I came for lunch and I have to say the food was 100% spot on. I had the pork loin and my daughter had the chicken saltimbocca. Both had well balanced flavours and the serving size was perfect. The service was good and the staff were friendly. However, it's the chef that shines here who brought our... More
