The Gunyah is in the unique Paper bark setting. A set 4 course is offered. Quality is good, fresh ingredients, watch the sunset amount the trees. A few local wines are offered. At $70 pp we thought it was reasonable value. Sides are $9 extra and recommended, well at least one

Part of the Paper Bark Resort "glamping" experience, but open to the public, this must surely be one of the best restaurants in the region. Nestled in the tree-tops, the relaxed and informal restaurant marvellously compliments its bush location. Large open bi-fold doors open up onto native trees and permit an abundance of natural light to flood the inviting lounge... More

We went as a group of 9 and had a great night out. We started with drinks on the deck under the gums as the light faded before dinner in the restaurant. Set in the trees with open sides you really get the feel of the bush. This is added to by the visit of the possum for photo opportunities.... More

You must book in peak season but it is worth it. The food is beautiful and there is a kids menu (spag bol or chicken). It was so good we went back a few days later (yes I know!). Highlights were the quinoa bread rolls with chilli sauce, the pork belly and the eucalyptus ice cream. The wine list is... More

Delicious food in a terrific setting is what you can expect if you dine at Paperbark Camp's restaurant, The Gunyah. First, the setting. Peaceful coastal forest/bushland - you are literally surrounded by paperbark trees. The restaurant is built up high in this forest, like a tree-house, so you feel you're dining up in the canopy. The interior is inspired by... More

My husband and I went to Gunyah as a bit of a splurge during a weekend away. We were warmly welcomed by staff and continued to experience friendly, prompt service throughout the night. The setting reminds you of an African safari; it is an open restaurant with fairy lights inside and in the bush around you. We could smell the... More

My husband and I came here for the Paella night and we were very impressed. The location is beautiful. The restaurant is set high amongst the trees and is beautifully lit with fairy lights. The wine selection was good and the food was excellent. They catered very well for my dietary requirements in each course as well. It was a... More

Went on Paella night and loved it. The atmosphere was great, lovely and relaxed. The setting is beautiful and despite it being very hot it was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree. Would love to visit when the fire is lit! Staff are excellent, suggesting wines and service was prompt. The food was out of this world! Portions just the... More
