Busy at breakfast.

We had a group of 11 people arrive for breakfast - make sure you book or be prepared to be turned away, though you could pop in if there were only one or two of you. Every meal was great: high quality, a little different, tasty, well presented and plenty on the plate. Coffee was well made. Would have given 5 stars, except for the waitress having a bad day on our arrival.

A well brewed coffee and cake.

Stopped by for a quick coffee. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. The order of coffee and cakes were taken then delivered again by an extremely pleasant staff member. While we were enjoying our coffee and cakes we were regularly check on by staff. When we were departing we were thanked for our custom and wished a good day and safe journey. A great location with completely good service and enjoyable coffee and cakes.

Travelling breakfast

We googled where to go to breakfast as we were travelling and wanted breakfast before we set off again. This gem came up. Lovely cafe with seating inside and out. Locals obviously love it as it filled quickly after opening and many patrons were locals. Our breakfast was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Easy to park outside.

COVID crazy

Wow 😮 went here on good advisement but highly disappointed with T/A cups for coffee, plastic utensils, paper plates & bowls. I was given an Asian soup spoon to eat granola (there was none) which was basically natural yoghurt with nuts and some berries (was given a bit of milk in a jug). Owner I’m expecting could do with a course in hospitality. Giving 1 star as the coffee was nice. Maybe COVID has had its toll on this place as I was told it was really nice beforehand

Disappointed

Been very keen to try this cafe since moving to the area but was unfortunately disappointed. I had the açaí bowl, presentation was bad, taste was not good at all. I love acai bowls and have been eating them for years. With this bowl the avocado was blended in with the acai mix but the avo was obviously off, it tasted so bad. Definitely needs more fruit added for presentation and taste - at least slice some banana to top it. My partner got “scrambled eggs on toast” - tiny piece of toast and I’m guessing maybe one egg was scrambled to make this? We could have done a much better job at home with the scrambled eggs. These two meals were very overpriced for what we received unfortunately.

Completely ignored...

Yet another bad review for Tommy’s, and we didn’t even get to eat this time! It’s been a few years since the last bad experience, so thought we would give Tommy’s another go. Patiently lined up with everyone else waiting to be seated, but when it was our turn to be seated, we were completely ignored by the waitstaff. We reached the front of the line, and the waitstaff allocating tables sparks up a conversation with a patron who had just walked over the road, and into the cafe. This patron had not been waiting in line. After a chat, the waitstaff offered to find them some chairs, and to seat them at the last table.. There was no reserved seating, and we weren’t the only people lined up waiting. So we left.

Great cakes and food Good service/

Loved eating here but we were little crammed near outside door and poor waitress had to apologise to my husband every time she squeezed past him to go out. A bit squashed for space they need to extend even more. So many waiting to get in.

Great food! Great location!

Took my dad here for lunch to celebrate his birthday. It is so nice to find somewhere near the water, although you probably need to sit outside to get the benefit to the view and it was a bit cool the day we were there. We ordered the Mexican Bowl, the Pulled Pork Burger and the Barramundi. The serving sizes were good and the food very tasty. Tommy's is licensed, so we were able to enjoy wine and beer with our lunch. The coffee we finished up with was also very good. Although they were quite busy, the service was friendly and attentive. I'd be happy to return.

Fantastic all round food experience

Fantastic breakfast. Fast service. Tasty meals. Best 'sweet' breakfast I've seen on the coast in years. Bacon was to die for, crispy not burnt. Friendly staff and other customers too.

Always fabulous!

This is the second year we've had our Executive Christmas lunch at Tommy's, and the experience gets better each time. Fabulous service, yummy food with a great selection and a really great place to relax and enjoy ourselves. Thanks guys, we had a ball. (PS. Thanks for the "on the house" Portugese Tart for the lone female.)

Great place ang good food.

Staff very good and helpful. Location was easy to park. Their breakfast and lunch options were good , we all enjoyed and commented on how good and big the meals were. Even the coffees were good.

Very disappointing first time lunching

Unfortunately, first time visiting and no need for another. One particular unfriendly waiter and the prawn salad for $22 was drowned in dressing which made all the vegetables totally mushy. The prawns were super cold. At least another staff I gave honest feedback to agreed the salad looked mushy and offered to make me something else but I had to go. Was quite unsatisfying to return or recommend.

Great place for breakfast, super nice staff

We visited for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the place was already quite busy at 10:00am--good thing I rang ahead and booked a table for 6! The staff were super friendly, especially someone I think must have been Tommy (or at least the manager) who made sure we were well looked after--even when I completely forgot to order my partner's meal...okay, yes, we may have had a few drinks the night before, that's my excuse. (Her smashed avo with bacon arrived in record time, even though we only ordered it when the rest of our food was on the table...!) Thanks for looking after us, even when we couldn't always get things right ourselves!
