Family run cafe & Bakery in Gosford NSW. Located on the corner of Mortimer Lane and Donnison Street. We are open 6am-3pm Weekdays and 7:30am-1:00pm Saturdays.

Had a craving for corn fritters a few days ago so went for a walk up the street in search. Decided to give this place a go as I have often driven past but never called in .... silly me .... best corn fritters I have had for years, good price and very friendly service .... and the coffee is excellent. A long black, perfect temperature and strength, came served with a sparkling water. I'll be back.

I'm a firm believer in taking a complaint or feedback to staff or manager before leaving a negative review however at this cafe I was too scared. The staff member that seemed to be dropping food and drinks to the table was totally unapproachable and didn't seem to care at all. After the coffee was dropped at the table I noticed a "service charge" automatically added to my bill. 1.9% or 57c. For what? I sat myself at a table and wiped the dirty seat before I sat. I read the dirty sticky menu. I then walked to the counter and placed my order at which point dirty table number was placed near me and I was left to assume my card was accepted. I then asked for a tax invoice that was like asking for her kidney. I then returned to my table to read the service charge added. Absolute bs in Australia. I had just spent $30 on what was a very nice breakfast the only saving grace to the experience.

Call the green eggs and ham are one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had for a long time. Very generous portions and presented beautifully. Taste was amazing. I would suggest also getting the Hulu me extra.
I had to wait a while for the meal. But the wait was worth it.
The coffee Was not to my personal liking but good. That being said it does not detract from five five star rating

Been here several times. Today was the worse breakfast in my living memory.
Cold coffee delivered with one spilt cup and the promised napkin never arrived.
Eggs not cooked, toast not cooked. Mushrooms not cooked. Great lump of cheese and generally poorly presented.
Presented cold. When we complained the complaint was shrugged off.

Extensive menu, in house made specials (come earlish for lunch to make sure you get to try them, as they sell out). Clean, inviting, friendly and of course, delicious food! My daughter said her B.L.A.A.T was outstanding. Also, if you’d enjoy iced drinks, you must try the Iced Chocolate, complete with Brownie (yes, home baked chocolate brownie!) on top - see photo.

I had a lovely lunch with my daughter. Food was excellent with a lot of concern made by the chef as to my lunch in particular. Coffee was a beautiful blend and dessert amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to visit this lovely cafe again.

Called in here for coffee while waiting for my car to be serviced. Picked ‘The Good Bits’ as it had the most customers and appeared to have a nice happy vibe to it.
The coffee was superb and exactly as I ordered it. I enjoyed a lovely fresh home made cake as well.
Customer service was A1. It understandably appeared to have a loyal following from regular diners.

Have been here a few times. Coffee is ok not a problem. The food is good not a problem.
The problem is the waiting. You either have drunk your coffee or it's cold by the time the food arrives.
I've tried when its quieter and still it takes forever to cook a simple Bacon and Egg roll. It's great that's fresh cooked and there is nothing wrong with it when its served. You can cook more than one order at a time and that was the problem.

This out of the way cafe is a gem. It is down the road from the station and around the corner.
The vibe is pared back vintage with mid- matched chairs, a cosy couch and a couple of comfy chairs.
There are second hand books to read which adds a warm and friendly touch to the decor and the whole experience.
The raisin and almond toast with. Ricotta and honey was SENSATIONAL.
The coconut and white chocolate muffin was moist and flavoursome.
The coffee is good with beans from Glee Roasters and the hot chocolate warming and gorgeously chocolatey.
AND they are open from 6am to 5pm on weekdays and 7 to 3.30 on Saturday.
This place is worth a visit.

I ordered the pancakes and caramel latte. On the menu the pancakes state “pancakes served with ice cream and seasonal fruit “
It doesn’t state anything about seeds or beads and sprinkles. I have sensitive teeth and this made it very hard to enjoy my meal. The strawberries was hardly any there for the price and the kiwi fruit was tasteless. For a $17 meal you would think you would get a good serve of strawberries. I will commend the baker that the pancakes did taste nice as they were fresh and not a packet type you normally get from other cafes. I also ordered two caramel lattes to be extra hot and they were like warm and really burnt which is not what you want first thing in the morning. I may be back. But not in a hurry due to expensive cost. $64 for two pancakes, 2 coffees and 2 brownies????

I like the vibe the good bits co is going for.
Love the on premises baking
I don't love the slow service. Generally 5-10 minutes for a takeaway coffee when not busy.
I think an extra staff or two may help that as the girls are running food, making coffee, cleaning, baking and cooking food to order.
Prices are steep but coffee quality pretty great.

Having never been to Gosford I found myself here on business.
A good nights sleep at The Willows - see it’s own review, I needed feeding.
This quirky little corner spot seemed ideal, and certainly a hit with the locals.
Everything on the menu seemed to include Avocado (I’m not a fan) so I went with basic scrambled eggs, bacon & hallomi.
My double shot flat white was hot and creamy, really smooth.
Eggs cooked perfectly, crispy edges to the bacon & silky springy cheese made for a happy boy and a perfect start.
The decor is boho chic, mismatched chairs, retro collector spoons with you coffee and young staff complete the look.
