The food was pretty good, the usual things on the menu, but service was a little slow, even though it wasn't really busy. I wouldn't rush back!

Had two lunches here this month. Both were excellent. Interesting and varied menu with specials. Oysters were excellent. Order in lots of three. Service friendly and efficient. Dining area open format and roomy. Superb views to Lake Macquarie. Interesting wine list. Good range of Lion beers including Little Creatures Rogers', a most tasty mid strength beer.

A great experience today, not only the food and service was great but the staff put themselves out with decorations over the door and a free glass of bubbles for all Mums.

The Gunyah has just had a major overall after burning down. Great view of the Lake, the food is beyond boring and you would have thought they would have updated their menu along with the pub. Burgers , bread you can that kind of food anywhere. Nothing irritates me more than oysters by the each ($3.00) that's $36 per dozen.... More

This place wás great before it burnt and was refurbished. Has a great location and is always busy. Must go there again after it has reopened. Was worth it previously. Couldnt get much better.

Caught up with some family & friends at this hotel. I haven't been there for many years but was surprised at the cosy friendly atmosphere. The lounge chairs are comfy and they have some of the largest screens for the footy. The choice of beers on tap is enormous.

Walked in here the other arvo with the view to have dinner there all I could smell is cigarette smoke, looks like a nice pub but for smokers only there was even a guy at the bar getting a drink with a cigy and unless they hide the pocket machines all I could find was ones with smokers. Shame was... More
