Lovely tucked away location, beautiful surroundings, birds come to your table keen for your crumbs. You wont find a better cream tea in Cornwall, or let's face it, the World! A nice walk through the woods from here down to the lovely Pendower and Carne Beach for a dip. Lots of interesting quirky things to find on site, the willow... More

We had passed the Mill on a trip from our camp site to Mevagissey and thought it looked very pretty and inviting, so decided to drop in for beakfast on our last morning before travelling home. They don't actually do breakfasts, and we were recommended a nearby bakery cafe, by the very friendly lady serving. We explained we only wanted... More

Sunday afternoon random drive out, came across this place. Lovely tranquil setting, a lovely pond with plentiful wildlife. Lovely choices of food, coffee & cake for us. Friendly service. Well worth a visit.

Myself and relatives were passing and on the spur of the moment decided to stop for Sunday morning coffee. The cream teas on the adjoining tables looked delicious but we passed on this occasion. We couldn't resist a walk around the pond afterwards and what a delight it was. Loved spotting all the little quirks and taking photos and it... More

Visited with a group of 12 pals today. We hadn't booked and each had something different from the menu which was served promptly and with a smile. The cream tea was delicious and a very reasonable price. The walk around the mill pond was very interesting and quirky with something different around every corner. A good selection of plants and... Towards the end of a circular walk around the Roseland Peninsula, we dropped in at Melinsey Mill - well it would rude not to have a cream tea whilst in the West Country. We were not disappointed...super location and scones as light as they come. Do not miss out if you're in the area, on foot, on two wheels or... More

Came across this by chance but I was so pleased I did. It looks a bit ramshackle, but they really know how to make you welcome. There were some lovely touches: an extra tea-bag with the hot water for the tea, and a little jug of a salad dressing for the garnish. If you are lucky with the weather and... More

You know how it goes, you're tootling along the back country roads on a beautiful autumn afternoon when you see a sign for a café and realise that you fancy a cuppa and a cake. We came at it from the east but if you're travelling on the St Mawes road watch out for the sign. As it was a... More

Tucked away in its own little world. lovely for kids to explore and look at the artefacts and mill workings. Food good though limited in choice. Best in good weather to be able to sit around the pond, there is indoor seating but can be cold inside.

Beautiful surroundings, with lovely old working watermill, but spoilt by overpriced food. Over £15 for 2 cups of tea and 2 slices of cake cannot be justified
