Stopped here for lunch whilst holidaying in St Ives, it was well worth the visit. Very tasty ciabatta roll with plenty of filling. Attentive staff. Great value for money. I would highly recommend.

We had two excellent meals here. Very friendly service and I particularly recommend the fish specials.

I understand why this has so many great reviews as the dinner I had was superb. I arrived late as I came from Penzance, and luckily they were still serving, so I took a table in the dining area. The service was friendly, I'm not sure why other reviews are complaining about the service, but this may have been because... More

I visited with my partner and siblings on 22/4/17 for lunch. There was 5 of us and we had pre booked a table outside (weather permitting). There were quite a few people sitting outside and the weather was lovely. This is an old pub with a quirky interior. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu is not large but plenty... More

We visited on Easter Sunday as part of our walking holiday of the south west coast path. As it was Easter weekend I had rung to book a table for 7:30pm back in January! We arrived to a lively pub as you would hope on the Easter weekend. Gave our name to the barman who passed us on to so... More

We were refused seating in the nice front room because we were a party of two and there was only a four-seater table available. So we were shown into the weird, sad back room, and seated at... a four-seater table. We ordered crab parfait with celeriac remoulade, seafood chowder, and fish burgers with red cabbage slaw, then waited for 45... More

We ordered 2 mains and one starter, and came out really stuffed. The seafood chowder was a bit expensive, but chock-full of seafood so it was still pretty worth it. The poached mackerel with watercress risotto was the best here. It was such a unique dish, and the watercress complemented the thickness of the risotto really well. And the fish... More

We went here as a family group of eight. Some of the dishes were exceptionally good. These included the seafood chowder, well presented and excellent quality, the special of baked Pollack with new potatoes, spinach and a creamy chorizo sauce was fabulous with delicious very fresh fish. The burgers were all very good, and the one undercooked was quickly corrected. Drinks were... More

Went for lunch with my daughter and 3 year old grandson, very friendly and nice atmosphere, just a little disappointed on the size of the fish , chips and mushy peas. The fish was delicious but a bit on the small side and the mushy peas were just a swirl on the plate. More like a decoration than proper mushy... More
