We are down in Cornwall for a few days away. Went to the polgooth inn for dinner tonight. I had braised lamb and the other half had gammon. Food was absolutely delicious, staff were really attentive and very well priced. Will recommend to family who are due to visit in the new year! Thanks all!

Slightly off the beaten track, about 1 mile off the A390, we visited here just for a quick bite and ended up having a full lunch. We visited on a midweek day and yet the place was really busy but we still received a very friendly welcome from the landlady and her staff. The pub looks like a proper traditional... More

We can't thank Tanya and her team enough. What was a very difficult day, was made exceptional by them all. The food was spot on and so was the service. Thank you

We were visiting relatives and decided on a Saturday evening meal at the Polgooth, it was very busy with a few large parties and all tables were used. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was fantastic in this old pub. The service considering it was busy was first class and the food as good as the service.... More

Booked Sunday Lunch at The Polgooth Inn for my Mum and 2 sister last Sunday and wasn't sure what to expect. Having used the Inn for my daughter-in-laws birthday meal some years ago (and not had good food or service) we were a little apprehensive. However, I have to say the food was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful (and... More

Nice atmosphere and welcoming ambience. The food was good but some was a little overcooked. The fish was too dry and the ham was not as tasty as the menu said. Beer was okay and the prices reasonable.

Friendly staff and good food, very efficient too even though we did not book and it was a quiz night. Will certainly return.

This is my Mum and Dad's local. Always pop in whenever I'm down in Cornwall visiting them. Good old fashioned pub grub. Can sit outside in the summer, or in by a cozy fire. Large portions of food, great tasting and fab service every time. Can see why it's always busy!
