Has anyone else been fined by staying in the car park to pick up a takeaway from del Mar? I didn’t even get out of the car - I waited in the car while my partner went and picked the pizza up and now I...have a huge fine from Euro Car parks.More

Seriously this is the best restaurant in the world today! The pizza is out of this world. Service and staff are outstanding!

Don’t even waste your time. We tried to adjust a pizza with the toppings… Not allowed to do that. Tried to then order a plain margarita pizza and add 3 toppings to that… guess what… you’re not allowed to do that either. Just add one...topping are the rules?! Never heard anything like it in my life and I’ve eaten pizza all over the world. They are rude and uninterested. Took our customer else where.More

The restaurant was so busy when we arrived so knew we had a wait ahead of us. Took a while to order, but the food arrived in good time. It was all presented beautifully & was delicious. I found the staff friendly, welcoming & efficient...considering how busy it was. Would definitely return.More

Had a delicious meal here. Lovely atmosphere, so many choices on the menu. Willing to swap things for you too, as all made fresh. Will definitely visit again next holiday.

We booked an evening table for 8 adults & 1 toddler, on arrival we weren’t really spoken to or welcomed, eventually went to find our own high chair for the 2 year old. Ordered drinks which took far to long to bring out.. everything was...rushed by the waiter in quite a rude attitude. Then we finally were asked to order food by a waitress who clearly hated her job.. over 1 hour later the starters arrived in dribs & drabs. By the time our mains arrived it was too late for our daughter who needed to go to bed. (2 hours after we arrived) the actual food was pretty good but none of us enjoyed being at the restaurant because of the terrible service.More

We visit Perranporth every year for at least a week & in that week we normally would have dinner in Del Mar twice as the menu is extensive & the food is lovely. We booked twice this year and we cancelled second visit as our...first was so disappointing ! Long story short we arrived dead on time at 7:30pm, we got our food (main course only, we ordered no starters) at 9:28pm !, when we complained why no one had taken our food order at 8:30pm the manageress/owner was so rude it was unbelievable, it was only our hunger & previous dinning experiences that meant we stayed. When our food eventually arrived it was as tasty as our previous visits. I doubt the manageress/owner is reading this, but if they are, please take less bookings if you don’t have enough staff, you are absolutely trashing the reputation of your restaurant. Unfortunately by the looks of the other recent reviews this was not a one off occurrence.More

Me and my partner decided to book a table for dinner at Del Mar, little did we know that that would turn out to be a huge error of judgement. Once we arrived, we noticed that there were many tables inside available. Eventually we were...scurried to a table right next to the kitchen. We inquired about possibly moving to one of the many available tables, away from the oven as we were getting very hot and uncomfortable. The waiter who allowed us to move tables completely disregarded the possibility of allowing us to sit on the other side of the restaurant and instead proceeded to tell us to sit “side by side.” Before ordering our food, we decided to ask the manager how long the wait would be, as we were deciding whether or not to leave this place early. Her response was extremely officious and passive aggressive, she reiterated that the food was cooked fresh and not microwaved (this isn’t what I asked). We ordered two pizzas, and as soon as they arrived, the manager couldn’t help herself and reiterated her petty comment about them being fresh - surely that should be expected and not something to brag about. After eating two very substandard pizzas we paid and left as soon as we could. Would definitely not recommend, there are much nicer restaurants in Cornwall with staff who want you there.More

This Restaurant was so bad - I almost don't even want to give any rating. I did read the reviews prior to going, but I think Restaurants in seaside resorts are currently so busy that perhaps some people are judging too harshly, however, the bad...reviews for this restaurants seem very accurate. The main issue I have with this Restaurant is that customers seem a hinderance to the staff. We arrived (2 adults/2 children) at approx 5pm and were seated immediately in their outside area (which is basically a car park right next door to Wetherspoons), the staff did take our order quickly, however, when they bought the food out they had forgotten on our our Children's pizza's and were adament we were wrong and the waiter just walked off - luckily our children really didn't like it anyway, so 2 would have been a waste of money. I had chicken milanese which was £14.95 - this was just a bit of breaded chicken and 3 potatoes - really overpriced. We just ate what was worth eating and then asked for the bill - we were then left waiting for ages just to pay. Whilst we were sat at our table, more and more customers were being seated - I can't understand why they don't put a limit on numbers and perhaps this would then increase levels of services - which in turn would keep customers happy. It seems that this Restaurant are happy not to have repeat business and just catering for one-off visitors without caring about their feedback - which is such a shame as I am sure this could be a lovely Restaurant. I can't say anything positive about this Restaurant at all....More
