Just a street or two from the seafront and very convenient for a stop-off from a walk along the coastal path. A sunny Sunday lunch time and it was busy inside & out, but the two of us didn't have long to wait for our food - Fish & Chips, a very tasty, good-sized portion. Good range of local ales... More

Great atmosphere, friendly staff with a homely comforting menu. I had the soup which was lovely. Served with hot crusted bed and lashings of butter.

It looks nothing much from the outside but when the door opens at midday you find a cosy traditional pub. The fish and chips was wonderful! Blazing fire. Cheery efficient staff and friendly locals made this one of the best.

This is a lovely pub, good pub lunch, especially their prawn sandwiches, with a choice of breads. Good real ales. Great atmosphere

Stopped off on a long walk on Sunday. Had a couple of drinks and lunch for 2. Very enjoyable and the pub has a nice ambience with a mixture of walkers and character locals. Will be back.

Ideal location if you have just walked from Mount Edgecumbe to Kingsand. Lovely local, pub with many local visitors, good food. We visited for a lunchtime snack and managed to get a place at the one table outside as it was a sunny day.

A 5 day trip to the area involved 3 nights in this pub. The food was great and reasonably priced. Customers, mainly residents, were friendly, chatty and welcoming. Live music one night was great. Only complaint is that there was no food on Sunday night so had to eat elsewhere and it was very disappointing.

We stopped off here after a long walk. The pub is very welcoming and full of locals which is a good sign. We had some lovely local real ales and some great home cooked food. Staff were lovely and the food delicious. We shall be back

This is a classic local pub, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. However the food was disappointing - when my lasagne came it was SO hot obviously only just come out of the microwave, and the treacle tart pudding was clearly bought in - not great. But the thing that really ruined my evening were the two people sitting on the... More
