Stunning views. Very busy. Excellent value for money. Not the best food I've ever tasted but plenty of it. Staff friendly I had moussaka which tasted and looked nothing like my favourite Greek meal but was filling. Chilli was good and reasonably hot. Will come...More

Please don't be put off by the colour of the pub as it has an amazing view serving good quality pub food and very friendly staff. The only negative comment would be that they don't allow dogs in the pub, which is very unusual for...More

Visited tonight for the first time and were not impressed compared with other pubs in the locality. The food was not particularly good, and slightly overpriced compared with similar establishments. The soup was far too salty and the pies were clearly microwaved, with poor pastry....More

The Bowgie Inn is another prime example of a pub that relies on its location rather than its offering. The food is appalling and they really do not make any effort on terms of quality and presentation. I felt somewhat robbed when settling the bill.

First visit. Frist impression were how friendly and helpful the staff were. Good range of beers and a good menu of pub grub. Not Michelin Star but good honest food at reasonable prices. Recommended

Really nice food but no dressing and by that I mean it was just slapped on a plate and served. Please dress it up a bit it would be nicer

Yes the food is rubbish - it may be piping hot but that is because it has been in a microwave.!

Yes the food is rubbish and dominated by warmed up and microwaved crap. Looking at the comments there are more complaints than you would usually expect and the food standards agency have rated them as a 2 for food hygiene... More

Very poor food - if you read through the reviews there is a trend of poor food. Deep fat fried food is sometimes passable by some but generally the food is poor as is the food hygiene rating of 2 (improvement necessary).
