Wonderful old world pub which has not really changed over the years except by putting up prices which is quite understandable.

Called in here the day we arrived for two weeks holiday. And what a find, staff great, food delicious. Here for another week will be calling in a few more times. And a lovely fire after a brisk walk.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch on a cold and windy day in February. The fires were burning and it was very inviting. It was busy, but we had no problem finding a table. The carvery was great. Lots of choices. Three different meats and at least ten choices of veg. Real Yorkshire Puddings, not mass produced ones that have been... More

We visited The Cobweb for Sunday lunch with a friend who isn't comfortable in formal restaurants and were pleasantly surprised by very tasty food, friendly service and a happy, buzzy atmosphere with mainly locals, both eating or having a post-dog-walk drink by the log fire. Our roasts, from a generous carvery, were very good - including medium-rare beef! The puddings... More

Very nice pub with good food, well kept beer, decent wines and an excellent choice of spirits...all served by friendly staff. Locals are friendly so pop in for a chat, a beer , some food and then stay the whole evening.

Description
If you want high quality Pub Grub...Great portion size and value for money then this is the place to go. We have tables in the bar areas and outside and a family room with books and pictures to colour for the kids. We have a restaurant area where service is by waitress and the menu is as the down stairs but the ambiance differs from the bar areas for those wanting the quality of our food with that extra special service. We have live music on Saturday nights therefore all tables are removed from the main bar area leaving seating in the bottom bar and family area. This is always a busy night so booking for a meal is always necessary. The music starts at 9.30Pm till 12.30Ish and can be view on our web page. We also have many events which are well worth a visit always with great entertainment and always for a deserving cause.
