Good local chippy, great choice of food. Well cooked. decent prices. Friendly staff. Always ready to cook your order as required. Can get busy at times. Parking is really bad at peak times, so send your wife in and park round the corner, she can then tinkle you on your phone when she is being served and you can then... More

The food is good from here, though the fish are a tad small IMO. Quality doesn't noticeably change during the opening hours - it's as good when it opens as when it shuts.

Always a good quality meal at the fishician for a reasonable price. The chips are spot on, fish always appears to be cooked to perfection and the peas/curry sauces are smashing.

You can't beat a good chippy tea!! Always fresh and tastes great. It's just a pain trying to park sometimes.

Husband called on his way home and got fish and peas for each of us. Fish was freshly cooked and tasted delicious, batter was gorgeous; peas were proper mushy peas,no lumps or too much liquid.

Fish was superb. Light batter and crispy. Not soggy or stale. Peas are old fashioned English chip shop mushy peas. Best chippy in Newton for English meals

This used to be the best chippy by far in Newton-Le-Willows! I say used to be, because i feel its quality has slipped and seems to have gone done hill a bit which is sad. Fish is still nice but most of the food we have got recently has been very greasy.

Went just to get some chips and mushy peas. Cost over £5 for a large and a small portion of chips and 2 cartons of mushy peas. Chips were ok but a bit greasy. Peas were tasty though
