Three of us were staying at the Premier Inn next door (Brilliant stay) and we had two breakfasts at the Hungry Horse. Every meal one is made to order rather than lots of food thrown into hot plates. When my meal arrived I was actually lost for words. The food was so well presented and looked yummy (if you know... More

I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was packed with families and the food smelled delightful. i ordered some drinks at the bar and the staff were lovely and pleasant and upon looking at the menu my partner and i were overwhelmed with choices (myself being a burger lover i was very pleased). when i ordered at the... I waited over 15 minutes to get served here - don't expect an apology if you have a long wait as you won't get one. There appeared to be problems with everyone's orders. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing or how to deal with the problems that were occurring. The restaurant seems to be very... More

Entrance "Free Parking" but Pay & Display??? (3 hrs max?) This 'Restaurant' used to be so good. Now it's 'Pub Grubby'. Greeting - noise, children shouting, beer, beer smells, beer sticky. Staff : Must be trainees? Grubby indifference. Obviously don't trust anyone to pay - so card security in advance. Bizarre different height seats at literally tacky tables. TV's everywhere... More

I have now visited the Old Rectory on three occasions over the last 2 months. On each visit there have been issues and food missing from orders, lack of customer service skills from management, poor organisation of the facilities and signage. Numerous complaints made at each visit from tables next too us and lack of compromise. This pub needs serious... More

We returned to try the food and service here after being disappointed on numerous occasions previously, service is abysmal. And ordering from the bar is a mission in itself. The don't seem to be bothered about customer services . How the fayre and square chain allow this to continue is beyond me. Food is terrible and they really let the... More

Nice atmosphere. Waiters and waitresses friendly. Food is good value for money and good portion sizes as well. Would eat here again.

Having been numerous times when it was Fayre & Square and enjoyed it. Thought we would try it again. What a let down, we all ordered the Gammon and pineapple which used to be very tasty, not any more only got half the amount of Gammon and it was dry and a thick layer of fat round the edge, half...
