Ate here on a Saturday lunchtime the day before Mother's day, so expected it to be quiet, but it was really busy so obviously a very popular place. Friendly, speedy service and tasty food but came away feeling absolutely stuffed and couldn't make dessert. (I...More

We love it here. The best homemade food around. The staff make you feel so welcome which adds to the experience. It’s pate and rag pudding for me every time! Great children’s menu too and even better gin choices! We love the roaring fire and...More

I’ve visited this restaurant a few times recently taking advantage of its 5,6,7 menu. This is a great menu to make use of on our way home from work and on a Saturday afternoon. It offers a good selection of main courses at either £5,...More

I would recommend that you book. Sometimes, there's no need but quite often, you would be very disappointed if you got there and there was no room. Even if you book only an hour before, its best to book.

Sorry for the late reply, no, not wheelchair friendly for the toilet. My friends husband has the same problem, and they take a bottle everywhere they go, not ideal, but it is a great meal at the Black Ladd and a nice place.
