This traditional, hillside pub was recommended to us, so we thought we would try it. The mixed grill had been mentioned and that was a hit with my husband and son. There is a wide and varied choice on the menu as well as a...More

One of the highlights of visiting this area is lunch at the Black Ladd, always an excellent meal. Each visit has been a delight with friendly service and good variety of dishes on offer. We love it. Well worth a visit.

Food passable, however I pointed out the sauce which accompanied my Mum’s food was extremely salty, a waitress with a very bad attitude came back to me and said the chef doesn’t add any seasoning it must be in the ingredients 🤔🤔🤔🤫🤫 oh dear

The food at the Black Ladd is great, however the customer service is not always fantastic. It is a little cramped when you need to take children and prams in.

I would recommend that you book. Sometimes, there's no need but quite often, you would be very disappointed if you got there and there was no room. Even if you book only an hour before, its best to book.

Sorry for the late reply, no, not wheelchair friendly for the toilet. My friends husband has the same problem, and they take a bottle everywhere they go, not ideal, but it is a great meal at the Black Ladd and a nice place.
