Called in for lunch. Full of families and dogs so not exactly what we were looking for. Didn't stay so placed our custom elsewhere.

The Mug House is a proper pub! Relaxing, and a very friendly barman. And a fabulous setting right on the waters edge. Also great pint of guinness. However, there does seem to be an issue with dogs in the pub (well their owners). I couldnt get to the "Ladies"as two very large dogs where in the way. I wasnt sure... More

Drink in the mug house regularly, it's very dog friendly and will suit any age or character. There's a cosy inside area with a warm fire, good drinks selection and comfy seating area in the bar. Also there's a outside area prefect for summer and winter with the addition of outside heating. The angry chef restaurant is separate and has... More

If your visiting bewdley area then I seriously recommend this pub! Situated right by the river, gorgeous scenic views and wonderful people. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and looked after us so well. We were taken into the restaurant and although it's very small, you can't escape good service. We were recommended to eat here at the angry... More

Visited recently on a Saturday evening. We arrived early and the staff were happy to seat us immediately. The restaurant staff were excellent from start to finish. Our orders were taken and the drinks were served immediately with the food quick to follow. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. There are not many places you can eat... More

Eaten in the restaurant a few times, always good. The bar gets very busy, especially on a Sunday, and finding a table can be a problem. But thats the sign of a successful pub! We had drinks while waiting, and eventually a nice table was vacant. We then ordered a sharing platter of cheese and ham that was huge. Such... More

Party of six went to the Mug House for a 65th Birthday meal. The starters not at all bad, overall huge. Main meals were a total letdown, with only one a Balti, deserving of the price. The rest one lamb, tough as old boots and bones galore, Liver, burnt and watery gravy and three fish and chips, whilst the fish... More

One of the best meals out so far this year. Great value and really decent portions. I'm not a burger fan, but on this occasion their burger looked interesting, and it certainly was amazing. Beef, wrapped in bacon and all excellently prepared, cooked and presented.

Description
Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant. Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire
