Arrived and booked in to a quirky room at the top of the hotel - all facilities there and clean. Good blackout curtains and at the back of the pub, so quiet. We wanted a nice meal in a restaurant, but all fully booked in town so returned to The George and had the lamb shank - beautiful! Nothing too... More

We had a good lunch in this Wetherspoons chain pub in the quirky Georgian town of Bewdley. Like all Wetherspoons there is an extensive menu with some good deals, such as an inclusive drink with many menu choices. Food arrived quickly, served on nice crockery, and was surprisingly good. My husband had an Ultimate Burger with chips, I had a... More

We visited the George for the third time on the weekend spending one night in room 304. What a room! Unbelievable value for money. 304 has its own private staircase and the room is separated from the bathroom by the landing. You are at the highest point in the hotel and the exposed beams are beautiful. It is full of... More

If you want to eat and drink well on a budget, or just have a change from the local Indian this is the place to go. Good food and drink, prepay so no hanging around for the bill, in a traditional style hostelry that has a lively atmosphere. Well worth the visit.

Wonderful reception staff, comfy beds and very cheap and tasty food. Situated in the heart of the town.

Took our puppy to the dog parlour so whilst waiting popped in for breakfast. Excellent food, service top notch for the price.

Atmosphere lively at night but quieter for breakfast and lunch. It's not fine-dining but meets expectations. The staff are friendly, lunch is good value.

Went to The George for a Mixed Grill and a portion of Surf & Turf (scampi ) Saturday night, and two drinks included. Good value for money for just over £23 for the two of us. Service was good, we only had to wait about fifteen minutes for our meals to come out. Good venue for a cheapy!

Had a single room at the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. The room was warm ,basic but had the essentials. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. Bernadette on reception was very pleasant and helpful.
