This cafe is a great place to eat. The decor and furniture is basic (shabby chic?) but the atmosphere is excellent. The staff and customers all chat to each other, but if you don't want conversation there are plenty of books and newspapers available. The menu is relatively short, but all of the food is cooked from scratch - real... More

After avoiding entering the doors from previous encounters of several years ago, I stopped in my tracks when I looked through the window and was astonished at the transformation of this Cafe. Under new ownership since July 2016, Coasters has been transformed into what I would describe as vintage, study, homely. I was hungry, eating alone and really fancied some... More

Called in for coffee with a couple of friends on a Saturday lunchtime. We didn't have any food on this occasion, but the coffee was great. The café was quietening a little after a very busy period, but while we were there a constant flow of customers came and went. The food is very good value and it is clear... More

Visited here after getting my fishing bait next door. Much better than bland mass produced supermarket breakfasts. Friendly staff, breakfast tasty with lots of it. Unlimited tea or coffee with my full English! Highly recommended, I'll definitely return

Been here a couple of times was ok but today got the roast which was bland and not pleasant, to top tastelessness there was a extra piece of metal in my cabbage could have choked, more care is needed. I was offered another meal but asked for refund as I was not in a forgiving mood having my Sunday dinner... More

Ok my review is just on tea, coffee and toast . The inside I like looks cosy and welcoming . I like the ethos of the place of nice food on a budget. The staff were pleasant . The tea was nice my hubby had a cappuccino which is said was ok the expresso was bitter and needs tweaking. The... More

Not very pleased with this cafe and will not be recommending it to any of my friends . Got half the food and was charged full price which I didn't think was fair . The floor needed a good sweeping and the fire alarm was hanging off the wall . This is not for me and my friend and I... More

Usually this place is very quick to make and serve your food, I have worked in a handful of cafes and worked as a chef and 40 minutes for a toastie is ridiculous! As I said it's usually quick in here but since the new staff been hired things have started to come out slower.

We can only apologise profusely for the length of time you waited for your food. I hope you will give Ian, our new manager, the opportunity to settle in and then give us another try. More
