I meet colleagues here from time to time. It is an excellent Rendezvous with good parking, plenty of space with comfortable seating, and a good range of coffee and cakes. The staff are excellent and are good at leaving you alone in privacy but to respond very well when needed. When we were there through the morning there were at... More

My husband & i visited the Solstice Bar & Grill recently & were most impressed. We booked via the Open Table/Trip Advisor app - there were no issues with booking or with staff greeting us upon arrival. The restaurant is nicely laid out, with nice lighting (not too bright, not too dark!) & is located on the ground floor of... More

The food has always been very good when we come here, the staff are also very kind and are happy to move you if you ask. This mainly happens when you feel cold near the widows. Its always quite cold in here so suggest you wear a jumper or thin coat to get you by. However in summer i would... More

The restaurant belongs to Holiday Inn hotel. We had 'Dinner, Bed and breakfast' package, so that we were at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Everything was good. Very satisfied with the service and the quality of food. The portion was also very generous. Even the kids liked their meals, too. Some people complained about the slow service, but we... More

The menus here are amazing and really different. We found it difficult to choose as there was so much on it we would have liked. We chose from the A la Carte menu. Everything was really freshly cooked, very well presented and absolutely delicious. As starters we had the ribs, crabcake and the onion bhajis which we loved. I then... More

have always had a good experience however today service was poor with the food taking 40 minutes from order to table Chicken with stuffing was supposed to be boneless but was not and was slightly undercooked As we only have an hour for lunch there was not time to order desert or coffee

Modern, quiet and the perfect place to work from for an afternoon. Free wifi! Good food too! The power sockets for laptops and phones built into the table in the centre is a nice touch!

We found this place being tired and hungry and unable to find a nice village pub open at 5.45 on Christmas Eve. We saw the Holiday Inn and thought it a reasonable bet for half decent grub. Well they surpassed that expectation. Service and food were good - the meals were perfecty cooked and well presented ... and they were... More

We always come here for a family (19 of us) Christmas dinner the second Sunday in December. My dad loves it here and as he's paying this is where we come. I like the carvery and the choice of meats but am not a big fan of the veg selection. The Soups and rolls are nice and so are the... More

Went there for our Christmas do yesterday. Our group of 24 felt welcomed, we were split over two tables but I think most places would probably have to do that and as we were the only large group in there and I think the only ones eating anyway then this was no issue and we were all able to talk... Think Salisbury and youll think Solstice not the mid-summer phenomenon beloved of druids but the super chic Bar and Grill at Amesburys uber-modern Holiday Inn hotel. Situated only moments from the world famous site of Stonehenge, Solstice is glamorously modern, its sleek interior anything but pre-historic. One wall is shot through with a blaze of glass, providing countryside views in the day and inky black reflections at night, while the rest of the room is bright and spacious, furnished in monochrome and lit by low-hanging chrome lamps. Despite its futuristic styling the atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the professional and friendly staff who ensure your every need is met during your visit, be it a swift lunch or a leisurely dinner. From the elegance and ease of a continental style croissant and cappuccino in the morning to the hearty modern European mains of evening dinners and the comforting familiarity of burgers and steaks, plus the well-stocked bar with its excellent wine list and numerous beers, Solstice is a venue for any occasion.
