First of all let me say this....I do like coming to Whiteley's and have been doing so for years and, hopefully, will continue because the place is very nice and light and fresh plus the coffee is great! However, how much better could it be with just a little more thought and care to give the diners a better experience. By this I... More

Lovely paninis with plenty of filling. homemade cakes are delicious and the coffee is fantastic, according to my husband, and he is hard to please with coffee ☕️. You will certainly not go hungry here. Afternoon tea is exceptionally well priced and lovely too

Very very disappointing afternoon lunch trip. This place seemed like a canteen with school dinner type food. We had a chicken breast dish that was overcooked and dry. The veg was poor quality, overcooked and tasteless. We had jacket potatoes that tasted microwaved with tuna, . The presentation was poor. Our bill came to about 18 pounds with one tea... More

Went for the Breakfast Special which is very competitively priced at £4.95 including a drink. The cooked items include an egg scrambled, fried or poached and I chose scrambled. My companion does not eat eggs and specified no egg on his; he wasn't offered a substitute which isn't a problem as there is plenty. The lady who took the order... More

Took my little grandsons for tea with santa today, what a fantastic event. all for £12.99 per child, they got a meal, ice cream and drinks, a Christmas story a long visit from santa and games. Then each child got a lovely present with their name on it. Well worth the money and lovely memories. The whole thing lasted around... More

Have been coming to Whiteleys for donkeys years and eating in their cafe since it opened. I visited today for a hot lunch and was disappointed. I was on my own and was queueing for hot food. One of the girls behind the counter told the queue to find a table and then come back to order as they had... More

We called here one Wednesday afternoon to have a look around the Christmas Grottos which were absolutely magical. We called into the café for a cup of tea and delicious cake – pricy but very good. It was very quiet being mid to late afternoon and had no problem getting a table. The following Sunday we decided to go again... More

Visited recently for the first time. Very impressed it was busy but found a table no problem. Ordered the marie rose prawn jacket potato. Rest of my family chose paninis such as pulled pork and chicken tikka. Had to sample some of cakes afterwards tiffin was especially tasty. Would come again.
