Visited recently when myself and friends were going to Stoodley Pike. Unfortunately it was snowing so we went for lunch at Hinchcliffe Arms. Food was lovely, homemade Steak a pie and Mash in front of an open fire. Well worth a visit!
We had Sunday lunch here in the main bar. We were welcomed but it would have been nice to see a fire in the grate instead of dead ashes. Our food came quickly and my partner enjoyed his roast beef. My pork however, was bland...More
We walk here regularly with our dogs and often eat. The food is generally good although at times it’s rather disorganised (this does seem to be improving so maybe training of staff is being taken more seriously and the welcome we’ve received in our last...More
Visited here to try the Christmas menu which I am told the Chef is very well known in the industry...
I was disappointed to say the least; starter was fine but it was all bought in ie no cooking required so hard to get wrong....More
As titled very average. As stated by others manager complaining of staffing issues - not my problem. Starters - black pudding croquet so salty couldn't taste anything else, goats cheese crumpet just that no twist basic. Opted for platter of Sunday roasts - not enough...More
We just had a delicious roast dinner here. There were 12 of us (6 adults, 6 kids) so we opted for the roast dinner platter which was absolutely ace.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommend this place. We will be back.
Booked in for 6 adults & a toddler. Table was ready on arrival with lots of space. The young manager had been let down by his staff & was running around trying to keep everything running smoothly, which he managed to do. The meals were...More
Lovely food and the staff are very welcoming.we had the mixed fish and the craggy egg for starters to be honest that was enough. Then we had a sandwich the food portions are large. But freshly made I would definitely go back
Sadly this pub/restaurant failed to impress. My wife had the Sea Bass, advertised as on Kale, but in reality on Cabbage, with a halved new potato a couple of carrots and half a dozen Olives @ £15. I had the Whole roast grouse, served with...More
We hadn’t booked and Sunday lunchtimes are busy so we were quite lucky to get a table.
We ordered three roasts, two pork and one beef. We didn’t have too long to wait before the food arrived. The meals were served in a large dish...More
