We keep going back to this historical restaurant for special occasions, holidays, or just for regular meals and we're never disappointed. The food and the service is spectacular.

We went to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with my parents. I ordered the goat, brie and spinach crepe, with a petite side salad, and ended up with a chicken quesadilla. I probably should have sent it back, but didn't feel like waiting. Our waiter was very nice, and admitted to being new to the job. I even showed him the... More

Burgers were good. Bread for burger just ok. Some might like it. Thick bread. Too much bread for me. Was not happy with bartender. He took care of others at the bar who were regulars. Waited too long for service. Beer wasn't ice cold. Had to hail him down to order food and get the check. Waitress from dining room... More

I was not a big fan of the food left a little disappointed and won't be coming back. I had the French onion soup and it came with no croutons or cheese. Then when my steak came it was not that flavorful. My fiancée enjoyed her meal she had shrimp dinner. May I also add that the rolls were very... More

If you're going for a nice dinner out, ask for one of the front dining rooms when you call for reservations. Front rooms are nicer, more 'historic' feeling. Back rooms feel more casual and are closer to the bar area. Food is good, but not memorable. When I was there with friends, I ordered the salmon. Portion was smaller than... More

Stopped off for lunch half way round a walk from Old Winchester Hill. Made to feel welcome. Lovely baguettes with great choices including old favourites and some nice alternative fillings.

We went there as we had a discounted late anniversary offer from the restaurant. Had shrimp wrapped in bacon for the appetizers and i had a harvest salad which was noted to have yams, apples and dried apricots over a bed of greens with dressing- it was good but there were no apricots to be found. I mentioned this to... More

An historic Inn that still provides an elegant setting of small rooms with fireplaces and candlelight, as well as a contemporary nautical-themed casual room with outside terrace. The food and service is excellent. Prices are reasonable. A full bar and wine list are also available. This is a go-to place for our special occasions. We've had 2 rehearsal dinners and... More

Passed glory. Friendly waiter but I felt sorry for him as he was stuck in the seventies just like the entire place. Smelled very moldy. Had onion soup worst ever and some other unidentified food. With ship as name I would have hoped for some fish but I did not trust it even. Could not wait to get out of... More

Booked a small party here for a group of family members coming from West Chester, Lancaster and Delaware to celebrate my Mother's birthday, it was a great location for us. Booked a private room in the historical side of the restaurant, the event manager was very accommodating to our needs. My group was less than 20 people, therefore I was... More
